That is a very interesting article! It shows how the body / behaviour can be controlled by this very chip - different frequencies have been trialled for years over people and even towns etc for mind control / behaviour modification tests. I'm sure it would just take reception of a control signal sent from somewhere to affect the mood of a group of people.... but that's a whole other topic!

I suppose, also, the thing is, do people have to wilfully *choose* to take the mark in oder to swear their allegiance to satan? If it's still as nebulous as it is today, people will be signing their eternal lives away without unwittingly. It has to be a conscious decision, surely.

I'm sure God wouldn't allow it to happen that way. Cos - He is still ultimately in control, and loves us. So, He wouldn't let anyone accidentally make that decision, surely?

It is "voluntary" but you probably wouldn't want to be around in public if you didn't have it.... and of course you couldn't buy or sell without it.

The Bible talks about those who didn't receive the mark, so it would imply that God gives us that choice... later at the cost of our lives. But where is death's sting!

But I believe that we need to be vigilant also. If we have stored up our treasure in heaven, then nothing else matters to us but our Father! If we are careless and caught up in the world, we may make the ultimate mistake by being deceived.

I think once the one world govenrment is established and when all the religions are abolished, is when it will become mandatory. You'll have to go with flow or else. They're (Applied Digital, www.asdx.com) already spinning it as a good idea. At least 1,300 infants have already been injected with the chip and at least 25 elderly. They have been dubbed as "protection systems". They're talking about wanting to put them in all the soldiers to keep track of them. Their putting them into the poplulation one group at a time. I think that having the chip is not the mark in itself (as some have already gotten it) but that people might be asked to get a easily identifiable mark showing that they have the chip. That way it would be easy to spot someone that didn't have it. I think the chips is definitely a precursor to the mark. Even if it's not "the chip of doom" would you honestly want it? Would you want somebody sitting in office or somewhere on a laptop knowing whether you were sitting or standing, walking or sleeping? Would you want them to know your exact location at all times? There is no telling what else it can do that they haven't told the press. Even if the device is perfectly innocent, it is only a matter of time befores someone corrupts it and uses it for their own evil purposes.

Exactly. I mentioned this in my post- if you get it NOW, it's not with intent to get into the 'system' - people are willingly accepting something serious by taking this mark. It's the knowledge and intent behind accepting it.

I personally think that the situation itself has something to do with a moral issue or something clear cut that's "evil" - and to take this mark (or chip?) is to cross a line of acceptance of the false system.

It's more than people just blindly swiping a card to pay for a loaf of bread; I think there's a serious moral issue at play in taking it - even tho these people will be decieved.

I'm sure you all know that every cell phone (except really old ones) has a GPS locator in it.

Also, this summer my bank threatened to turn off my ATM card because I didn't tell them I was leaving the state - which I've done every summer for all the 6 years that I've had the ATM card. A young snip told me that she had the POWER to withhold my own money from me! I need to make an appointment to see my bank manager.

This is how it works too - there's ALWAYS a need for something.

Cell phones have often been used to track victims and criminals both - there's always something GOOD that is provided in order for us to accept something with potential harm to us.

Everything has the potential to be used for bad purposes.

RFID means Radio Frequency Identification.

it is a chip that uses a radio frequency to transmit basic information which can be read by any scanner passing close to the chip.

RFID itself isn't the mark of the beast, but its probably a precursor to something like it.

In any case the idea is terrible. Tagging people with tracking and ID chips is just a horrible idea and not conducive to private, free society.
Its just another step towards big brother, made possible by the convenience of modern technology, and by people who don't stop to ask if doing something just because we can, is really a good idea, and what the trade offs might be.

I have it in mind that the times of Revelation are not quite as close as many people think - although obviously I could be wrong.

In II Peter 3:3 we read:

3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come,
scoffing and following their own evil desires.
4 They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised?
Ever since our ancestors died,
everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation."

The last few words of verse 4 may predict the coming of secular evolutionists, which has happened.

The verses also predict the coming of people who will heckle us because Christ has not yet returned as promised. I hear a lot of Christians talking about the return of Christ, but I don't hear people mocking Christians because Christ has not yet returned.

So I think some more time has to be allowed for this new kind of mocking to become common as prophesied. Perhaps it will be a future response to all the "Left Behind" type movements.

By the time of Revelation, these implanted chips will probably have been superseded by something else I reckon.

I believe there is a little more time to go, but not much... I expect in my lifetime anyway. It doesn't take long at all to create a culture of suspicion, mockery, hatred etc towards an element of society.

The chips will be superseded I'm sure too - and it's said that what is technology news now is probably about 10 years behind what has already been developed but not released.

I can't know when He's coming back - but from the state of the world with the perplexity the nations are in, and the ethnic clashes worldwide, evil intensifying, the crazy weather patterns, the state of the church today (many leaving the faith), the rejection of God I'm seeing along w/ rising hatred of Israel (looking for anyone with an answer to bring PEACE which the antichrist is said to bring - I have to think it will be within the next 20-30 years.???

Even the public is prepped and ready to recieve the antichrist by their refusal to accept absolute truth. They've replaced it with subjectivism; truth is now what THEY WANT TO BELIEVE.
I think we're almost primed... just more time to let it build up.

That's very true
I think Jesus calls us to know the signs of His return and to be waiting and watching. He seemed a little angry that the people didn't know the time of His appearing as Messiah from the OT., but that they could read the sky

Mt. 16:
1The Pharisees and Sadducees came up, and testing Jesus, they asked Him to show them a sign from heaven.

2But He replied to them, "When it is evening, you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.' 3"And in the morning, 'There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.' Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times?

Even though I don't know the exact time, I think God calls us to look at the signs of the times we live in.
If they would have, they'de of known their Messiah arrived.

I've been thinking along these same lines myself.

It's hard for me to believe that a chip of that type is "the mark". Revelation seems to say anyone who takes the mark will be damned, but I don't see how having that chip would automatically make someone damned. One does seem to have any bearing on the other.

I wonder if something like this chip will be used to differentiate those who follow the anti-christ and those who don't? A means of keeping track? But that the actual 'mark' will be something different? Something spiritual?
