"I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward" (in Genesis 15:1).

Our nature determines who well we can benefit from our rewards.
I would be a bit more clear and say that it is Christ that determines our benefit of rewards since He alone is the One who earned them.

While it is technically true that our nature, one born of God or one not born of God, makes a difference it isn't our nature but whether the Lord Jesus Christ knows us and whether we know Him and rest in Him alone. Read Phil. 3. I want to be found in Him not in what I have done.
