Revelation chapters 17 - 20

Just wanted to point out some things about Revelation chapters 17-20. These chapters give an overview of the entire 'story' of Revelation going on in the previous chapters.
They can be taken as a description of events after the pouring out of the 7 bowls of wrath, which I think is the common view, but more importantly, it is describing the events going on in the seals, trumpets, & bowls also.

Rev 17
In Revelation 17, we have a description of the 5 fallen kings, the current 6th king (the 'one that is'), the 7th king & 8th king. If we are reading straight through from the bowls of wrath from Chapter 16, then this 'judgment upon the prostitute' is referring to the last king, the 8th king (because she rules the 7 heads). But it is also referring to the 6th king when it cycles through to start back and do an overview of all of the seals, trumpets, & bowls. So let's focus on this aspect of it starting with the 6th king, the current ruler of the world: Rome.

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters, 2 with whom the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality, and with the wine of whose sexual immorality the dwellers on earth have become drunk.” 3 And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was full of blasphemous names, and it had seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality. 5 And on her forehead was written a name of mystery: “Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth's abominations.” 6 And I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.
When I saw her, I marveled greatly. 7 But the angel said to me, “Why do you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast with seven heads and ten horns that carries her. 8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction. And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come. 9 This calls for a mind with wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated; 10 they are also seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he does come he must remain only a little while. 11 As for the beast that was and is not, it is an eighth but it belongs to the seven, and it goes to destruction. 12 And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings for one hour, together with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they hand over their power and authority to the beast. 14 They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.”
15 And the angel said to me, “The waters that you saw, where the prostitute is seated, are peoples and multitudes and nations and languages. 16 And the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast will hate the prostitute. They will make her desolate and naked, and devour her flesh and burn her up with fire, 17 for God has put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose by being of one mind and handing over their royal power to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled. 18 And the woman that you saw is the great city that has dominion over the kings of the earth.”​

the 10 horns destroy the current king, the 6th king, Rome/ the Vatican and bring the 7th king to power, aka the '11th horn', the 'little horn that blasphemes God'. This is why it says: "the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated; 10 they are also seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he does come he must remain only a little while": the 6th king, the 'one that is' currently doesn't have a 7th head through time yet - because it's coming up, but instead it has 7 mountains that represent the same idea that the 6th king is resting on '7 heads'.

Rev 18
In Revelation 18, after the fall of Rome/ the Vatican, the mark of the beast is offered. The 'gathering of the great multitude' and the sealing of the 144,000 in Revelation 7 refers to this 'come out of her my people'/ Revelation 18:4. The 'come up here' at the end of the 2nd woe/ 6th Trumpet (Rev 11:12) is describing this same idea of coming out of the destruction of Mystery Babylon, the end of the last king, the 8th king, apostate church.

After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was made bright with his glory. 2 And he called out with a mighty voice,
“Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great!
She has become a dwelling place for demons,
a haunt for every unclean spirit,
a haunt for every unclean bird,
a haunt for every unclean and detestable beast.
3 For all nations have drunk
the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality,
and the kings of the earth have committed immorality with her,
and the merchants of the earth have grown rich from the power of her luxurious living.”
4 Then I heard another voice from heaven saying,
“Come out of her, my people,
lest you take part in her sins,
lest you share in her plagues;
5 for her sins are heaped high as heaven,
and God has remembered her iniquities.
6 Pay her back as she herself has paid back others,
and repay her double for her deeds;
mix a double portion for her in the cup she mixed.​

Rev 19
Revelation 19 parallels Revelation 7 again:

and his Bride has made herself ready;
8 it was granted her to clothe herself
with fine linen, bright and pure”—
for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.
9 And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.” 10 Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. 13 He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. 14 And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. 15 From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.
17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly directly overhead, “Come, gather for the great supper of God, 18 to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great.” 19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army.

20 And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. 21 And the rest were slain by the sword that came from the mouth of him who was sitting on the horse, and all the birds were gorged with their flesh.​

The 6th Seal at Revelation 6:15 has

Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, 16 calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, 17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?”​

We have the same imagery of Revelation 19:17: 'to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great.”

At the 6th Seal/ Trumpets 1-4 events, the beast (the mortally head wounded antichrist & his kingdom) & the false prophet are thrown into the lake of fire, aka the abyss, referring to both the 'sea' & 'earth' beasts. Out of the 'sea' / abyss (see the Hebrew word 'tehom' for more on the connection between the idea of 'sea' & 'abyss' Strong's Hebrew: 8415. תְּהוֹם (tehom) -- deep, sea, abyss ) comes the resurrection of the beast & 'antichrist'. Out of the 'earth' / abyss, aka hell, comes the resurrection of the false prophet (the 'beast from the earth').

Revelation 20

In Revelation 20, we get some important information. At the beginning of the chapter, an angel comes down with the key to the abyss, which corresponds to the angel in the 5th Trumpet (Revelation 9:1-3) coming down and releasing the locusts and Abaddon & Apollyon (ie the resurrection of the beast from the sea & earth (locusts are the 'people of the prince to come' from Daniel 9:24-27). The important thing to note here is that the '1000 years' is not literally a '1000 years' - it is referring to the "Day of the Lord" which started at the end of the 6th Seal/ 1-4 Trumpets. (on a timeline, roughly Feb 6, 2021, more in a bit). After this literal day/ day of the Lord, aka the symbolic '1000 years', (see 2 Peter 3:8), then Satan is released - Abaddon & Apollyon are released/ the 'antichrist' & false prophet are resurrected. The '1st resurrection' is the event of the sealing of the 12 tribes/ 144,000 & the 'great multitude' coming out of the 'great tribulation'.

** (Another important note here: while the abomination of desolation image appears before the 'day of the Lord' (at the winter solstice before the day of the Lord, in Judea, which causes the woman to go into the wilderness for 42 months- Rev 12), the living image of the mortally head wounded 'antichrist' / 7th head, by definition, can only occur after he has been killed & then 'resurrected', ie after the Day of the Lord/ 6th Seal & Trumpets 1-4.

Satan is bound at the Day of the Lord, then released sometime shortly thereafter. With our new perspective on these chapters, we learn where the 'Gog war' occurs - at the 6th bowl war. When Satan is released, then Satan goes out & deceives the world. Gog & Magog gather the world to battle (at the 6th Trumpet war, which is an imitation 'Gog war'. The 6th Seal war is also an imitation 'Gog' war.) Then they surround the camp of the saints & the beloved city = the 'inner court' is the 'camp of the saints' & the 'outer court of the temple' is the surrounding of the camp of the saints & Jerusalem the beloved city. All of this is a description of the 6th Trumpet & 2nd woe where the 2 witnesses give testimony in Jerusalem for 1260 days. Then fire will come down from heaven and destroy Gog. (Remember that the false prophet calls down fire from heaven [Revelation 13:13] - meaning that the false prophet is pretending to destroy Satan/ Gog).

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. 2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.
4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.
7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. 9 And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, 10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.​

then the 'New Jerusalem' comes down from heaven in chapter 21.

I agree with your assessment via the parallels, but the who's, whys and whats I see as mostly wrong. To get to where we are going we have to get a light turned on a little at a time. I even started with the HALFWAY faulty notion that the Pope might be the False Prophet, and no, hes not that nor is the RCC any part of any Beast. Its just fact. I will leave off the scriptures and reply to your take to save space, I already know the scriptures.

The 7th King is the Seventh Head which is the Anti-Christ who becomes a Beast when he Conquers Jerusalem (42 months). There is no PHYSICAL 8th King hes a Demon Spirit named Apollyon who is over the Seven Beast Kingdoms. That is all that means, NOTICE: He is of the Seven !! The 6th King died long ago, he WAS when John was writing the book of Revelation. But the Anti-Christ is the Seventh King via the Seventh Head.

I agree that the Pope is not the False Prophet, but is definitely leading people into apostasy. Catholicism can be purified of its Virgin Mary worship into a real church but has to go through the tribulation - ie wheat & tares have to be separated there just like in other churches.

I guess some of my point is that the 6th king, the current mystery Babylon, serves as a scapegoat so that when the 6th king is dethroned, the 7th king is impersonating Jesus destroying Babylon.

To this end, since all the false Christs have to appear to destroy the 4th kingdom of iron (Daniel 2) with 2 legs (= west leg is Catholicism & east leg is Constantinople which can be Islamic or Orthodox Christian). If eastern leg Constantinople 'defeats' west leg Catholicism, it can be said to have defeated the beast of iron, but is itself, part of the beast of iron.

Something like Constantinople defeats Rome. Then Jerusalem defeats Constantinople. Then the New Jerusalem defeats Jerusalem.

I don't think its proper, I do not think God/Jesus is going to look at people paying homage or even praying unto the Mother of Jesus as a fatalistic flaw. Other Churches have flaws also. I do think the higher ups in the church have issues, but then again God knows each of our hearts and will judge is as such. Look at Nicodemus, he was a Pharisee and they worshiped all wrong, yet Jesus told him he was not far from the kingdom of God. I would like to think Jesus knowing all things said that because he knew Nicodemus would eventually accept him as hos Savior. (I have no way of knowing that, just a hunch). God judges the heart, hes not going to look at millions of Catholics who love God, serve God with all of their hearts simply because they say a prayer to Jesus' mother and then send them to hell, any more than he would you or I for a mistake we make via our present position of being a flesh man, not in the know on everything. We see vaguely now, but we will eventually see clearly.

Jesus said FAITH in him that he was the son of God is Salvation unto every man. It was accounted as righteousness unto Abraham because HE BELIEVED.

See, there is a Babylon, buts not a Mystery. The Angel told us in verse 7 he was going to explain the Mystery unto us then does so in verses 8-18. The Anti-Christ or FAKE CHRIST PERSONA is more or less because he makes the world worship him as God. Jesus is the Savior of all mankind, not just Israel, of course. Babylon is a Metaphor for All of the worlds governments who always seem to follow Satan. Notice the bigger the city the more liberal and backward it usually is, as per Gods ways?

Babylon is not destroyed by the Beast and his 10 Kings, THEY ARE Babylon (Governments) they HARLOT is destroyed by the 10 Kings and the Beast (Babylon). They are TWO DIFFERENT ENTITIES. The kings hate the Harlot in Rev. 17:16 but in Rev. 18:9-10 the CRY & LAMENT Babylons destruction.

To this end, since all the false Christs have to appear to destroy the 4th kingdom of iron (Daniel 2) with 2 legs (= west leg is Catholicism & east leg is Constantinople which can be Islamic or Orthodox Christian). Try this concept. Rome ceased being a Beast when it dispersed Israel all around the World, not when Rome lost its Dominion. Thus the Mortal Wound. The two legs is a misnomer with zero importance (I used to think it was important also) Statues just have to have TWO LEGS (LOL).

The Beast is revived or the mortal wound is healed only when Israel/Jerusalem gets Conquered, thus that could not happen from circa 70-125 AD until 1948. We are of course now in a position where it can happen. This MAN Conquers Jerusalem and thus is the east for 42 months.

This is why the Statue and the Beasts of Daniel have a 2000 some odd year gap/skip.
