(other) Most things in revelation are a mixture of literal and figurative or both at once .

this is about the same .
Tis true

Should Revelations be studied?

THE SYMBOLISM IN BOOK OF REVELATION

One man studied and found 348 allusions (not illusions, Light) in Revelation from the Old Testament.
You see the similarity in wording and the context mirrored in Revelation and the particular Old Testament story, and immediately can recognize the reference source! That’s, IF you know the bible well enough to even notice that.

95 of the 348 plain references used in Revelation as taken from the Old Testament are repeated in Revelation. That makes about 250 Old Testament passages are cited. How many chapters are in Revelation? 22. That makes about TEN OLD TESTAMENT REFERENCES FOR EVERY CHAPTER!

Well as we know, first that which is natural, then that which is spiritual.

The natural hail beat down Egypt so God could call His Son out. (Israel) (Ex 4:22)
But the reality fulfilled is in the body of Christ as we, in Jesus, are Israel called out of this "Egypt" old body of flesh, called out of this old world. (Matt 2:15...) the fulfillment of the Exodus, in us!
God is fighting for us on that spiritual level now where the real deliverance of His son is in being birthed forth from within us! Praising you Jesus, the Israel Son of God

So no contest, I voted spiritual (and evened it up 10 to 10 hehe) Looks like half got it right. lol!

I think Paul says it better here in Colossians

Colo 1:26 The Mystery having been hid from the ages and from the generations, now yet was made manifest to the holy-ones of Him.
27 To-whom wills, the God, to make known any the riches of the glory of this, the Mystery, in the Nations, which is Christ in ye, the hope of glory.
[Revelation 10:7]

Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh Messenger, whenever He may be being about to be trumpeting, also is finish the Mystery of the God, as He brings Well-Message to His bond-servants the prophets.

I don't think the Romans that were sent by God to destroy OC Jerusalem and it's Temple/Sanctuary were figurative characters.

Josephus mentioned some interesting things about that event, and why would the "denari" be mentioned in Reve 6:6

Revelation 6:6 And I hear a voice in midst of the four living-ones saying: "choinex of grain/wheat a denari and three choinex of barleys a denari, and the oil and the wine no you should be injuring". [John 11:48]

The Destruction of Jerusalem - George Peter Holford, 1805AD

As a consequence, the legions were able to build their redoubts almost without any trouble; soon, their catapults started to throw heavy stones into the city. Under cover of this artillery fire, the Roman soldiers could start to bash the northern wall with their battering-rams.

5 - Great hail weighing one talent is said to fall upon men there (Revelation 16:21).
Josephus tells of the Roman catapults being used to cast whitewashed boulders over the walls of Jerusalem and they each weighed one talent.

I agree. It is still "disguised" to the Jews of today.
Btw, can others here vote in my poll thread over here [I noticed you did vote MC and thanks]?

I voted literal. The more i read the bible the more literal it becomes, especially when I look up the original Hebrew meaning of certain words.

The hail will be real.

The rivers and fountains of waters will turn to blood. (v4)...(explain that spiritually?)
Men will be scorched with fire. (v8)...(explain that spiritually?)
The river Euphrates dries up. (v12)..It's still here (explain that spiritually?)
A great earthquake will happen which has never been seen before. (v18)...when did this happen? ( explain that spiritually?)
Every island and mountain will disappear. (v 20)...(explain that spiritually?)

For those who think its spiritual and not literal, explain the rest of the chapter spiritually first!

That is right! Amazing! LLOJ you know the Word bro!
Everybody, this guy has got it! lol!
O that every man in Israel would see! It is refreshing that others understand how that the Revelation of Jesus Christ is simply the last warning to the Jerusalem Church prior to being crushed by Titus as Jesus forewarned. And He timed the delivery of His Revelation to AD 68 or 69, to James, the Pastor of the Jerusalem Church within the harlot city about to be burnt for her whoredoms. Titus fulfilled Jesus Words. We read it in Matthew 24! We read it in Revelation! That's what it is all about!

He always gives us to know right before He does things He is so wonderful!

(Amo 3:7) Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

(Rev 1:1) The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

((Anyone can read about it in Flavius Josephus Antiquities of the Jews if interested ))

I really wonder what difference it makes?
Care to elaborate on that for us?
Do you think the LORD would go thru the trouble of giving the revelation of Jesus Christ to John just to confuse those reading it?

Luke 21:31 Kingdom of God comes

Luke 21:31 "Thus also ye whenever ye may be seeing these becoming, ye are knowing that NIGH/egguV <1451> is the Kingdom of the God

Is God the author of confusion?

1 Corinthians 14:33 for not is of tulmuts/confusion/akata-stasiaV <181> the God, but of peace
as in all the Outcalleds of the Saints.

Luke 21:9 Whenever yet ye should be hearing battles and tumults/akata-stasiaV <181> no may be being dismayed, for is binding these to be becoming
but not immediately the end

Lets see... Fire and brimstone.

As the brimstone (which is sulfur) is traveling through space it has nothing to react with thus it is brimstone. When the brimstone hits the atmosphere the following reaction takes place...

S + O2 = SO2

SO2 is a deadly gas. As the brimstone breaks up in the atmosphere it produces a hail like rain... Only the rain is deadly SO2.

Sulfur reacting with oxygen...
