I first converted to Christianity around June this year and I am trying to learn as much as a can about the bible. At about 2 am last night I happened to catch a show called The AntiChrist on the History Channel. Very scary. I couldnt go to sleep without the TV on. It explained a lot of stuff from Revalations, Jesus, and the AntiChrist. I guess it says in the book of revalations one day a political figure will one day be president of the whole world. Languages, communities, everything. The man will also talk about bible scriptures. He will bring peace. But alas, the man is the AntiChrist. For about 7 years the whole world will be under the control of the AntiChirst. The man (AntiChrist) will slaughter millions. More horrific than the Halocaust. People will have 666 either on their forhead or hands. And after the 7 years, Jesus will appear and defeat the AntiChirst thus leading the world into a 1000 Godly years. Through this the Jews will finally take Jesus into their heart and this makes the AntiChrist very angry and he begins killing so many Jews. When Jesus comes the Jews will finally see that he is and was the Mesiah and they will accept him. It also said that if your heart is truley devoted to Jesus you will dissapear not die, through these bad times to meet up with God in the clouds. Im not sure how that works but I hope it does. It really got me thinking and scared. It talked about buying and selling with the beasts number, 666 about it being on barcodes, and I started looking on barcodes on some things in my house and I saw three 6s on a lot of them. Apparently you cannot buy, sell, or get a job without that number on something. Its in my social security number and it freaks me out. Can anyone make sense of this to me?

i think that the reason you haven't got much response to this Thread is because, in all honesty, no one REALLY knows for sure what all the symbolism and allegorical descriptions REALLY mean--least of all The History Channel, which is about as far from a Christian source as you can get. i have read a bunch of books claiming to interpret the Book of Revelations, and they all say something different, which just adds to the confusion in peoples' minds. Personally, i have no clue what the stuff in Revelations means, and i am not going to pretend that i do.
One thing that i do know for sure, however, is that if you are a Child of the Kingdom--IF you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord, God, and Savior, and IF you are striving to follow our Lord's Commandments to the best of your ability-- whatever all that stuff in Revelations turns out to be, YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO BE SCARED, ANXIOUS, OR WORRIED ABOUT! So stop trippin and relax!
i believe that the TRUE meaning of what is contained in the Book of Revelations will become clear to all TRUE Christians as the events happen; and as the events begin to happen, the Holy Spirit will guide you in making the right choices which will end you up on our Lord's Right Hand, rather than on His Left. No TRUE Christian has anything to fear from anything described in Revelations--no matter what the meanings turn out to be. Fear is a sign of a lack of Faith, for as the Apostle John says, "LOVE HAS BEEN PERFECTED AMONG US IN THIS: THAT WE MAY HAVE BOLDNESS IN THE DAY OF JUDGMENT; BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD. THERE IS NO FEAR IN LOVE; BUT PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT ALL FEAR, BECAUSE FEAR INVOLVES TORMENT. BUT HE WHO HAS FEARS HAS NOT BEEN MADE PERFECT IN LOVE."(I John 17-19)
Sooooooooo . . . what i would encourage you to do, my Brother, given that you are only 6 months old in the Lord, is to do all you possibly can to get to know more fully our Loving Lord and His will for your life. Read your Bible, get involved with a Bible-believing Church, cultivate and surround yourself with a dedicated group of Christian friends, identify your sins--and repent, confess, and forsake them--and, above all, do everything possible to increase your Belief and Trust in our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ.
IF YOU WILL DO THESE THINGS, YOU WILL HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT WHEN OUR LORD RETURNS! MAY THIS BE SO FOR YOU!

in the bible there is meat and milk. as a new christian you should stick to milk and grow to meat. Rev. is a vision and visions need to be interpertated. even then there is no way to tell how correct the interpertation is. the short and sweet is, Christ is going to return. God is Love and Love is Gods way if you want to study something study about Love it is defined in 1 Cor 13:4-7 seal this in your heart and mind and apply it in your hands, this is the true milk and meat of the Bible.

yes but it is my understanding that if and once you take the mark of the beast thats it...you cannot take the mark of christ, , he gives you the chance it come to him and accept him as your lord and savior, and also it is my understanding that the raputure takes place before the antichrist makes his debut (so to speak) lol so who ever shall believe in him shall be caught up in the sky in the twinking of an eye the dead in the graves go first and then the rest meet them in the sky, pleast correct me if i am wrong, but then everyone has there own views i guess?

No corrections are possible or necessary, because the TRUE meanings of the end-time prophecies will not be known until the events begin to happen. There are as many different interpretations of the Book of Revelations as there are "teachers" on the subject, so your guess is as good as mine in this regard.
The all-important thing for Christians to realize, is that if we are walking in the Love of our Lord with our eyes fixed on Jesus--rather than on the sick and sinful world around us--that WHATEVER happens at the end when our Lord returns, we will find ourselves safely within His will and standing triumphant at His Right Hand. There should, therefore, be no reason for a TRUE Christian to feel fear or apprehension as the End approaches, for they will be guided by the Holy Spirit through all the darkness and confusion which the world will be engulfed in at the time of our Lord's return.
Trying to figure out the How's and When's of this return is a waste of time and energy--time and energy which could be better spent in seeking the Face of our God, in doing His Will, and in trusting in His Love to guide us through, and deliver us from, whatever the End--as described in Revelations and elsewhere in Scripture--entails.

MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON ME FOR WHATEVER I SAID THAT IS CAUSING YOUR SELF-DOUBT! That was certainly NOT my intent and, reading back over the Posts, i am not sure for the reason for these self-doubts. My whole intent was just the opposite!

Hear is my understanding about the end times.All Christians will be raptured (caught up) to be with Jesus,the anti Christ will step into power.He will deceive all nations,He will force all people to receive a mark on his hand or forhead.Anyone who does not take the mark will be killed,He will make war with the Christians.The Christians who came to Jesus after the Rapture will be hunted down and killed for their faith.The anti Christ will appear as a man of peace.When Jesus return with his saints (Christians),He will Throw the anti Christ and satan in to the lake of fire.Then Jesus will judge all nation and all people.All people who received the mark or did not believe and love Jesus will also be thrown in the lake of fire.God Bless

Oh please, these are my feelings, i am feeling maybe that the things that i alow to happen in my life makes me not a true christian but a christian wannabe?

While I personally believe in the post-tribulation rapture (having read Revelations) the basic message of it all is that God will magnificently triumph over evil, no matter how magnificent that evil seems to be. Read Revelation 19:11-21 through chapter 20:1-10, it's all about Jesus kicking butt and taking names.

Also, read Matthew 24 for how to look out for such times. When the Antichrist comes, Christians will know. He will try to decieve us, but cannot prevail because we are chosen (Matthew 24:24). So I do not believe that the devil can sneak the mark of the beast on us. The Holy Spirit, who lives in us, will put up too much of a fight to allow that (Ephesians 1:13-14). He will let us know.
