Returning to school...

Well, it's finally time, I guess, to go back and finish something up. I have been accepted to a local community college and will finally begin the process of finishing a Bachelor of Arts in Education. I attended a local University for three and a half years, then needed to quit and take some time off... that was at this time in 2006. So, it's been a while. Plus a completely different change in major, from Flight Officer to education.

A small part of me is excited to get back and finish it up, but a larger part is depressed due to the fact I cannot afford it at all. I work at a local middle school as an assistant in the classroom, which provides only enough money to breathe-- eating is extra. I don't have enough time afterwords to have a second job, and am a bit stuck.

Once I'm done with the community college I'll apply to another local college where I'll get my teaching certificate in two years... so, it's still a lllllooooonnnnngggg road ahead.

Here's to hoping the tanking economy doesn't get worse. lol

You could apply for financial aid.
I've been discouraged about the cost of school in the past too (a bit recently too), but I know that if you are where God wants you to be, He will provide in some way.

Does your school provide any assistance in paying for college? Some of the schools here in my area will pay so much on tuition for their employees to return to school and complete their degrees. Particularly when they like their work!

Heading back to college for me is without the financial worry but the time and energy I need to put into that and parenting is where I will feel the strain. I have a long haul to get my Forensics Law Degree here,
