What is the purpose of God resurrecting the wicked dead after the 1000 years if he only plans to destroy/kill them again later on? (Revelation 20:5-15)
Hi Husky, again, I believe that at least one reason the "wicked dead" will be resurrected is so that they will know why they're being sent to everlasting punishment (v12). If resurrection and judgment did not occur, the wicked would die and wake to find themselves already consigned to the "lake of fire" (v14-15), never knowing why they were sent there (many believing throughout their lives, upon their deaths, and even to the Day of Judgment, that they were Heaven-bound .. see Matthew 7:21-23).
If the question you're being asked is why would God bring a dead man back to life only to kill him again, the answer is simple, the wicked were never "dead" ... at least, not in the sense that they no longer exist. The souls of both the righteous and the wicked dead live on beyond the grave (see .. Luke 16:19-31).
