I wasn't trying to make a mockery out of you. You did this all by yourself when you went after Moriah and she simply laughed at you. You should have just backed off when she told you to.

Just because she has allowed you to give her instruction on something, and not me, that doesn't mean I did something wrong.

What you did was the equivalent of using a full-on sledge-hammer for a thumbtack. There is a tactful way you can get your point across to her without driving her into a rage. So either you don't realize the reaction your words are causing with her or you don't care. Since I don't think you are oblivious that you wouldn't see it, I can only assume you don't care.

Even Jesus was rejected by many whom He had sought to instruct and correct. So don't even go there.

No one is 'rejecting' you. I am simply saying your approach only made things worse. I don't understand how you cannot see that.

And just because you are able to give her instruction, that doesn't mean you are going to give her what she really needs. So don't flatter yourself!

That's not what I said. My point is that I don't believe you really know what the gospel is. Therefore, you wouldn't be able to give her what she really needs.

Moreover, it is not foreign to the gospel to issue a rebuke. You seem to think it is.

Oh, about you assuming that just because I got a bad response from Moriah, that must mean I did something wrong, you need to look more closely at this passage:

"Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." (Mat 5:10-12)

I have no further desire to dialog with you on anything, as I don't consider you to be one that I can trust.

While I agree she can't be helped by us, I do see some people encouraging it and then others TRYING to help.

Neither one is doing any good, IMO.

I am really beginning to sense the value in the old CF system. I am actually wishing that Erwin would bring back the old rules and implement the warning system again. The new approach is not working, especially in here. This is the worst that I have ever seen this forum.

It was one of wooba's posts that caught my attention and brought me to this forum in June.

Precisely the point that I have been trying to make the whole time! Unfortunately, even some Traditional members refuse to acknowledge this, as they want to be people pleasers more than soul-winners.

This is the biggest problem that we are facing in here, and why a split is needed. As long as we have a place for progressives in here (those that constantly complain about our church and its doctrine), we really can't do anything about this, as they outnumber us, and would never approve of censoring certain topics.

Many of the Traditional members have left as a result of their constant complaining and personal attacks. Hence our reason for being outnumbered. The funny thing is that the progressives seem to think it is our fault that they are the way they are. Do they expect us to just sit back and swallow their venom when they come in here and bash our church? Of course we are going to get upset with them. So then we end up getting into a heated argument with them, and then they turn it back on us and say we are the bad ones because we are arguing with them! The ones that do this are masters of manipulation.

Of course, if there is a split, then we run into the problem of them being allowed to identify themselves as SDA on here, which I don't think is right, because they obviously despise the SDA church

It's just all messed up!

I don't know either of you but it seems you are getting caught up in differences which are totally ludicrous. The love and acceptance will win over all this fighting reporting and nonsense.
