We are being thoroughly spammed in the "Debate A Calvinist" section of the forum. I'm abstaining from participating in these "debates." Also, I do not consider them "brothers or sisters." Call me a Hyper Calvinist or whatever, they worship an idol, not the God of scripture. I have discussed these topics numerous times over the years with Arminians and they will acknowledge their position has contradictions and retreat to a position of "mystery." Fine. I can live with that. But to argue for the sake of arguing...I want no part of that.

gmm4j,

I will not argue with you anymore, our time is over.

I have many, many Arminian friends who will acknowledge my points, points you ignore. These fellas are Pastors and Elders in Baptist churches who are willing to be honest about what we are discussing. I just don't see that taking place in our dialogue. When I read your posts I see a blind hatred to what is being posted.

Perhaps our paths have crossed when you are feeling a little extra prickly toward the old Gospel that we preach...I don't know. Best I can do at this time is tell you to enjoy the debate forum friend.

I changed my Avatar to the Dwarf Doc to assist me with my patience in the debates. I mean, how can I have a Doc avatar picture and be angry at the same time?

Seriously, though, Mr. G., you did spam the debate folder. It was downright scary. It's like some kind of anti-Calvinist stalker or something. It made me want to check my car before I got into it at night.

I'm glad we've gotten to know each other through the forum, but you did over do it a bit. :)

Hey Eddie L,

You are awesome. I know I over did it. I had tried asking these questions in other Calvinism sites and either didn't get much of a response or was shut down. Then I felt like I was being shut down in the Ask A Calvinist section here. Then I wasn't getting a response to the Steal From A Dead Man? thread I posted in the Debate section, so I went for it. I threw out all my questions in order to get a reaction. It worked!

If there's a stalker in your car, God ordained it, but it isn't me. LOL :)

Reformed minded, Calvinistic Christians have a fundamentally different view of God, the scriptures and man that causes us to see the Trinity, forgiveness, repentance, grace, apologetic methods, philosophy, history, art, science, politics (you get the picture) differently.

For a Calvinist to engage in a debate or polemic discussion we need to agree on a biblical Christian worldview first and only then can we engage in fruitful debate. Inconsistent Arminians recognize this and agree with Calvinists on most issues, they will retreat to a defensive position and claim the "Calvinist puts God in a box" or "that's a mystery as to why etc." but we agree on the fundamentals of the Bible.
