Can false teaching hinder the timing of the elect’s regeneration? Can personal sin or the hardness or rebelliousness of a person’s heart hinder the timing of the elect’s regeneration? Can false teaching, sin, or anything for that matter adversely affect the perseverance of the elect or his salvation?

Following false teaching will hinder your glorification. One of the things that gains an overcomers reward is overcoming false doctrine.

Rev 2&3 is a maturity scale with 7 major problems to overcome. Each successive reward is a greater position within the eternal kingdom. The least reward is basically getting in the door with the ability to eat of the tree of life. The greatest reward is to share the throne room with a position of great authority within the kingdom.

Wait doesn't that mean it hinders your salvation? Please explain.

A person who is chosen still has to repent so can their own will hinder that for a time just not ultimately??

No, salvation (of the spirit) is a gift by faith through grace.

You have to understand there are 3 salvations. The salvation of the spirit is a one time event and a gift. The salvation of the soul is what is called the sanctification process that goes on the rest of your life overcoming the flesh. The salvation of the body is at the resurrection when you get your glorified body.

Some passages that talk about salvation are a reference to the salvation of the soul, ie the sanctification process.

You also have to understand the difference between Justification, Sanctification and Glorification.

Justification is the payment of your sin debt. It occurs at the salvation of the spirit and was completed on the cross. It doesn't require works of any kind to maintain.

Sanctification is an on-going process to grow spiritually and overcome trails. This is were your 'works' such as studying the word are required. Following false doctrines will hinder this process of becoming more christ-like. Granted that really depends on how false the doctrine. I am assuming the doctrine isn't so false as to be following a false god and/or messiah or a works based salvation or just being religious thus preventing actual salvation. An example of that type of false doctrine is salvation by sprinkling at birth.

Glorification is the rewards you earn in the kingdom for the level of overcoming you achieve in this life. This life is your job interview for the rest of eternity. Will you be a poor, blind and naked beggar, a janitor or will you share the throne room so to speak. It is based on the level of spiritual maturity you achieve and how many of the major errors you overcome and gain the overcomers reward. There will be a great difference between the least and the greatest in the kingdom. Salvation (of the spirit) is just the beginning.

Overcoming false doctrine is one of those errors that must be overcome to progress in your sanctification process and grow spiritually to receive the overcomers reward. The errors and rewards are listed in Rev 2&3. Those 7 letters are an individual spiritual maturity scale and the rewards gain by the overcomers. Following false doctrines is covered in that scale. The problems and the rewards are scaled from least to greatest.

Many think the Philadelphia church is the 'good church' without error. That is non-sense. There must be error to overcome to gain the reward. Their error is 'lack of strength'. They refuse to enter into the treasure room of the Father's glory that is opened by the key of David.

Most teacher totally miss the point and only focus on the Laodicean church. Very few even make it to that level to even attempt to be an overcomer of that error. I see this error as the major problem of the WoF movement. They have power but misuse it for personal gain. Much of their power is basically a form of witchcraft commanding things in the spiritual realm with the authority granted to us by Yeshua but they are misusing that authority. Misuse of spiritual authority carries a severe consequence.

Most people/denominations are stuck in the lower level rewards area because of the false doctrines they are following. We are called to overcome the error of our own congregations/denominations and progress to the next level.

For example, to be granted the reward of 'ruler over nations', you have to have overcome the errors/doctrines of Jezebel. (This specific problem is one of my specialties. I knew a high priestess of Ashtoreth and know all the attributes that make up this error. I had a 3 year long battle with her and her coven. Many doctrines and practices in the churches follow her doctrines. BTW Jezebel was a high priestess of Ashtoreth.) For example, those that follow 'Kingdom Now' use many of the tactics and ways of Jezebel to force their will on others. 'Kingdom Now' is one of the most evil demonic doctrines I know.

The individual glory achieved by an individual is based on how christ-like our walk and how many of the errors we overcome in our sanctification process.

Those that think everyone will be equal in the kingdom are in for a rude surprise. Just getting your fire insurance carries consequences. Many will end up in the 'outer darkness' which is basically the back pew or lowest level of those still in the kingdom, the farthest from the throne of glory.

Getting in the door is easy. Getting to the throne room and a mansion on the heights will be difficult.

Oh, BTW, I am NOT a Calvinist. I am a Marrowist. IMO Calvinism is false doctrine that has to be overcome or it will limit spiritual growth.

Regeneration is a single event, the timing of which is decreed by God. When He says you're regenerated, you're regenerated, so no false teaching can hinder it. Regeneration brings about a genuine turning to God, but anything which follows that is subject to our wrestling with the flesh as we work with God towards our sanctification.

However, be believe that if our regeneration is genuine, then we will persevere.

If the timing of regeneration is decreed by God and no false teaching or personal hardness of heart can hinder it, then why the warnings? And, if regeneration brings a genuine turning to God, then why the commands to do so? According to you, the command to do so has no bearing on the person turning, but it is only by regeneration that one turns.

Then, you say that anything that follows regeneration is subject to our wrestling with flesh as we synergistically work with God. Is our wrestling in the flesh decreed by God also?

What warnings are there considering "regeneration"? I would like to see one.

And, if regeneration brings a genuine turning to God, then why the commands to do so

The Word of God is the INSTRUMENT used to bring about God's plan (that being the Holy Spirit regenerating, giving a new heart. God not only ordains the ends (salvation) but He also ordains the MEANS by which that salvation comes about (His commands/regeneration). Regeneration, didactically, is the spiritual "how" life happens, the Word of God is the "physical" how life happens.

Then, you say that anything that follows regeneration is subject to our wrestling with flesh as we synergistically work with God. Is our wrestling in the flesh decreed by God also?

You are getting your soteriological terms mixed up gmm4j. We don't wrestle at all with our "regeneration". We wrestle in our "walk", that is called "sanctification", our growing in our spiritual lives, conforming to the image of Christ.

Is our wrestling in the flesh decreed by God? YES. FROM HIM and through Him and to Him are ALL THINGS. God CAUSES all things to happen for the good of those who are in Christ Jesus. That includes our struggles.

I'm not being rude, but your question has been adequately answered above.

Heb 3:6-11
But Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast. 7 So, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you hear his voice, 8 do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the desert, 9 where your fathers tested and tried me and for forty years saw what I did. 10 That is why I was angry with that generation, and I said, 'Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.' 11 So I declared on oath in my anger, 'They shall never enter my rest.

Again, this is speaking of sanctification and not regeneration. God guarantees his preservation of His elect. The means by which He does this is through His Word.

This is for sanctification not regeneration. God has warnings in His Word as a means by which He preserves His elect.

It is a sanctification passage only to those who meet the condition of holding to courage and hope (v6), and the not hardening of their hearts when the Lord speaks (v7). If they harden their hearts and lose hope and courage, then they are not His house and they shall never enter God's rest (That doesn't sound very sanctified to me :)).

THAT sounds like an encouragement to persevere... which helps one's walk in sanctification.

if you hear his voice, 8 do not harden your hearts.....'Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.' 11 So I declared on oath in my anger, 'They shall never enter my rest.'"

Again, that is a WARNING which intended FOR the BELIEVER, which is headed, and therefore helps one in their walk also. The Word is always for the believer and should be viewed that way. Also, this has nothing to do with the thread topic, it has nothing to do with regeneration or "delaying" anything..
