haha, I dislike having to write research papers. It mainly has to do with me being lazy about it rather than me not being able to do it though. I've always gotten very good grades on them and writing is one of the things I can do well. I just don't like having to write about things I don't really care much about and such. Plus, I'm a big procrastinator so I keep putting them off

I love writing. But, I hate writing research papers... Usually I'm okay with them, but I hate citing sources... It's the worst thing ever.

^ Yeah that's me too. I like writing and I'm pretty good at it, but research papers are more like work than creativity...

And as for citing sources I totally agree But I use Word to do it all for me and it's not as hard.

Yikes, research papers. I just finished my senior AP English research paper this past December. Brutal.. I chose a 34 stanza poem by Robert Browning.. Thank goodness it's over. And no more for my high school career.

Citing is by far the absolute worst. Easybib.com is the only way I stay afloat for those. Riffling through MLA 7 handbooks? No thanks... And then there's that awful rough draft you have to turn in with it. I'm one of those people who revises as I go, so I must make this intentional, terrible rough draft with manually edited marks, and then do the normal paper as a final draft. It's so lame... but a fact of life I guess

I agree with all of you, I greatly dislike research papers. Unless I can get a topic that I am passionate about, which isn't common at all, I hate writing/typing them. Citing is terrible like you all said....EasyBib.com, and the program on Word for it are lifesavers. I don't procrastinate on a lot of things....but big papers like this.....I just don't want to do them. Like one of you said it is more work than creativity.

I dont know how to write a proper bibliography and Im in Year 11. 'Nough said--but I will add that I only ended up doing three out of the twenty or so I was supposed to do last year.

I actually have a paper I need to do right now...due Tuesday. It's a 6-8 page draft; the final copy's 12-15 pages, and is due in a few months... Bleck...I suppose I should do it. Shouldn't take long.

I have on to write on the decline and fall of the Romanov dynasty (the Russian royal family, for those who don't know)--at least a thousand words, because here in Australia we like our essays short and our research papers to be essays. Though, this will probably change when I get to university--though, hopefully, I'll still be writing short things.
