  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am not asking for money. But I come across a lot of people who initially seem very nice and kind, and they have some ministry or orphanage they run, and it ends up that they ask me for money. What do you do in that situation? I am categorically poor, so I don't have that much money, and I already give to various ministries. What do you tell these people? How do you handle it?

They are scammers. You do not interact with scammers.

It’s best to check the various scams on a regular basis. They get more sophisticated every day. There are a ton of them out there.

Yeah but true. They are so lonely, etc. they are pretty easy to spot.
Is it the romance scammers that are lonely and easy to spot ...
or their victims?

And what are the scammers after ... money?
