Thank you! I'll rep you as well. Also, I'm with CyberCat, what exactly does rep do? Maybe I'll check the CP or... try to find the info somewhere. Thanks again. :)

I see nothing special about the rep, except that each person can give a different amount of rep points. I think it can be misleading as a result of the varying amount of rep points that each person can give. If it were more balanced, it might be a better view of someone's reputation here on the site. That's just my opinion, though. ;)

But what's the purpose of the Reputation?
Usually you rep someone because you agree with them on some level or you appreciate something they've said or done, so you rep them and comment or say so when you rep them in the space provided so they're made aware of it.
If all you're doing is just exchanging Reps to up your scores,
Anyone who posts in this thread was made aware of the fact that this is a rep thread.
how does that reflect your "true" reputation, whatever that may mean?
Obviously you've been repped before or your rep woudn't be high, you've been made aware of this at one point I'm sure......("True" reputation, whatever that may mean?)

It ups your reputation and is usually earned. Mostly people rep in the BE part of the forum in the games that are played there. People compliment, comment, encourage, agree or bless you as a means of repping you.

That's kind ... but you have no reputation power as yet, so your reps won't actually increase the reputation of others ...
(Reputation power is raised by 1 for every 1000 of your own reps, for every 1000 of your posts and for every year you have been a member)

Welcome, anyway! :)

Before I rep you, you had a rep of 10, I have a giving power right now of 33 points, so when I'm done you will have a rep of 43 until someone reps you again, you will get a general idea of who reps you and who you rep in the CP rep tracker. So I rep you, you rep me....click on thumbs up.

Hmm... when I click the thumbsup button nothing happens! Do you need lots of rep to rep others?
