They can do that if they pay taxes! I have no problem with that!

If you want to see the start of a theocracy in America, that would be the best way to do it. The monies generated by churches to advance a political agenda would dwarf all unions combined. And if they needed more, the would quickly get it from eager and willing congregations.

No.

Let's keep churches right where they are, just the way they are. :)

Well maybe they should stop leeching off the government and pay their dues like other organizations ;).

Churches don't leech off of Goverment.
They get money from their parrish.

You know the ones that earn it.
Not like the goverment, the ones that takes it.(and thinks it's theirs)

Remember, the money is yours. Not the Goverment.
Money not given to the Goverment(by tax exemption)
has not been leeched from the goverment.

If the church gets a grant, it is for some benefit to society.

A Priest, pastor, Rabi,(ETC) has every right to free speech as any other person. Without the threat of losing a tax exemption.

Bush Senior told oranizations they couldn't mention abortion or refer patients to someone that could talk to them about abortion, without the threat of losing funding. I disagreed with that order. I am mostly anti-abortion, but
freedom of speech should not be controlled by Goverment funds.
