In other words, they don't intend to actually do anything to shore up SS itself. They're just going to wave a magic wand and make the economy better so that the SS taxes will somehow fix the long-term SS problem.
Sounds like something Obama said…

Oh yeah….

In June 2016, President Obama, in a town hall in Elkhart, Indiana, asserted that American manufacturing was merely a thing of the past.

When asked by an audience member why blue-collar jobs continue to disappear, the 44th President admitted that good-paying jobs in America were moving overseas under his watch. Mr. Obama asserted that “some of those jobs of the past are just not going to come back.”

“When somebody says . . . that he’s going to bring all these jobs back, well, how exactly are you going to do that? What are you going to do?,” Mr. Obama asked.

“There’s no answer to it. . . . What magic wand do you have?

Just shy of three years later, how things have changed for working moms and dads across the country.

It would cost a trillion dollars to successfully do this. A full 2000 mile border wall manned by soldiers every 100 yards 24/7 will cost $$$. Rounding up people from all over the country and holding, feeding and transporting them to a country which will need to be paid to accept the people will not be cheap either.

Is this actually for real?
I added the DJT link in the OP just to avoid having people call this some fake dreamed up by the Enemy of the People.

It's weird recently seeing his supporters back away from the red meat he's been tossing his adoring crowds for years.

The Leopards Eating People's Faces Party can't change its spots at this point.

Trump did a fine job not messing up the modest improvement that Obama instituted in manufacturing jobs, but reached nowhere near the levels of previous years. Even now that Biden has surpassed Trump's best numbers, the 16 million jobs of 20 years ago are still a thing of the past.

R's know they are vulnerable on abortion restrictions. So of course they dont mention it. R voters seem to recognise the necessity for this tactic.
I actually kind of admire the R's discipline to shut up about abortion and birth control.

There's always that one guy who didn't get the memo.

Matt Rosendale takes up anti-IVF campaign in latest break from GOP colleagues

Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-Mont.) has become the loudest voice in Congress against in vitro fertilization (IVF), threatening to complicate the GOP message on the deeply personal procedure at a time when reproductive issues pose a challenge for the party.

As most Republicans have rushed to express their support for IVF or said that policies on the matter should be left to the state level, Rosendale has called IVF “morally wrong,” proposed anti-IVF amendments and hung anti-IVF posters outside his office.

Please demonstrate that the Democrats purged the military of people based on politics.

We're not talking about political appointees who serve at the pleasure of the President, but the rank and filers.

When did that happen?

I assert that has obviously never happened.
There have been hearings on the subject. If you preach racism and transgender radical agendas in the military you're not going to be able to recruit enough good people:

Even now that Biden has surpassed Trump's best numbers,
Even the media of the left recognize that Biden's 15,000,000 new job is not accurate in that most of those were job returning after covid, not created by Joe or anyone in his admin.

Even SNOPES recognizes this

What's False
About 9 million of those jobs were lost during the pandemic, so the net jobs gain from pre-pandemic levels was 6.2 million.

No - Joe did NOT surpass Trump's best numbers - please get your facts straight.

That's not the claim that was being made. Read the graph again - the peak number of manufacturing jobs under Trump prior to COVID was about 12.8 million. As of November 2022, there were about 13 million people employed in manufacturing in the US. Ergo, Biden surpassed Trump's peak number of manufacturing jobs.

The point is that your claim about Obama's statement is misleading. As Obama said, we will likely never return to pre-2000 levels of manufacturing jobs in the US. Trump did add around 300,000 manufacturing jobs from 2017 to 2019, which was great, but that nowhere near cancelled out the millions of jobs lost in the sector since 2000. And Biden has shown similar rates of growth through his presidency, so this isn't really something that you can say Trump trounces him on.

The info above is not correct. The number of manufacturing jobs added from 2017 to 2019 according to BLS data is 556,400. The average is 185,467. Biden's one non-Covid-recovery-year data (2023) is 152,900.

The rate of increase year-on-year excluding Covid years as 2021-2022 show greater average increases during Trump's term over Biden's term.

More importantly, the comparison presumes all-other-things-equal which they are not. Loss of manufacturing jobs to automation increases year-on-year. So direct comparison of increases in manufacturing jobs on raw BLS data over the years of either president's term assume incorrectly that policy decisions solely determine manufacturing jobs outcomes is wrong and, therefore, are not very meaningful.

The woke ideology in the military needs to be removed - they are warriors, not social activist. ANYONE who has served knows this - anyone who has served in combat knows how dangerous wokeness is to peoples lives.

I served.

Exactly.
Nice platitudes.
No details on how to acheive their objectives (because the details may not be so appealing).

(Just to demonstrate this is official: donaldjtrump link)

As expected, no "one man one woman" marriage, no "unborn people" amendment, no national abortion ban.

Also as promised, it's relatively short at 16 pages.

Former vice president Mike Pence said Tuesday that the new Republican platform is a “profound disappointment to pro-life Republicans.”
“Now is not the time to surrender any ground in the fight for the right to life,” Pence said in a statement, urging delegates to next week’s national convention to restore provisions that softened the party’s antiabortion stances.

The real Republican platform is Project 2025.
Absolute rubbish - Show where Trump endorses it. or is this yet another bad Trump conspiracy theory.

“I know nothing about Project 2025,” Trump posted on his social media website. “I have no idea who is behind it. I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them.”
