Reps Raffle Test Run

okay is this how it works......to enter the contest I rep the OP.....then I promise a number of reppies to the winner and post the same number of times on the thread. the winner is picked at the end of the week, and then I rep the winner with the number of reppies I promised.

each week I want to play, I repeat the process. Is that it??

I'm not sure I understand the "entries" we make. Is it like this?

1. Rep the OP as your entrance fee
2. Post at least one and up to 80 separate posts in the thread. These are your "entries" into the raffle.
3. Each post not only is a chance for you to win the raffle, but is a promise that you will rep the winner.
4. Thus, if you post 20 times, you have 20 tries in the raffle, and you will be committing to rep the winner 20 times during the two-day payout period. If you post 70 times, you have 70 chances, and are committing to rep the winner 70 times during the two-day payout period.

Or do we just make one entry, saying how many tries/committed reps we are providing? I assume there will be a separate payout thread where the winner of the raffle will post 80 posts so we can all rep her/him?

Okay, I'm glad that I know that I need to make this more clear.

You only need to post once to tell how many entries you are making. Once you do that, I will put you in the raffle to however many entries you specified.

Then once the winner is announced, if you did not win, you will rep the winner once for each entry.

All you need to do to make those entries, though, is to post saying how many entries you would like.

Is it more clear now? I am pretty tired, so I want to make sure that I don't sound like gibberish.

You only post once to declare how many entries you want, the rest is correct, but don't forget the one rep entry fee for this account.

thinking that might be easier than starting a new thread every week. there might be a problem with the weeks getting messed up and the reppies given.

After this week, I will make a new thread that will be the only thread used for every week hereafter. I will update the first post with the most updated information of these things so that everything will be easy for everyone to find. I will keep a list of who is in the raffle, how many entries/promised reps, and I will ask that everyone sends me a pm once they have repped the winner. If someone does not fulfill their promise, they will not be allowed to participate again except in the case of an emergency that prevented them from getting online.

We are going to use this thread for the first week. You can promise as many reps as you want, up to 80 because that is all you can give in the two day pay off period. You can just rep the first post of this thread for your entry fee.

I am working on a way to imput all of the entries and having a program randomly select one. I will not pick it, it will be done completely randomly.
