  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This seems to be pointing out what we have been saying all along. Illegal immigrants and masses of asylum seekers are putting a strain on our communities. It's obvious people have compassion for them. We all do. But we are not prepared for the problems they bring with them. Just letting them flood the communities is wrong headed. They shouldn't be allowed to do that. We need to seal rhe border now, get this under control, remove the fakes and illegals and start building a system where only the number of people we can prepare for will be allowed in. People who are properly vetted before being released.
Right now, the government has a system of paying staffing agencies, NGO's, and landlords big bucks to hire migrants, and put them up dozens per apartment. There are stories of local people evicted from homes, so they can move migrants in.
I personally don't blame the migrants, or anyone who wants to come to America, but as you said there needs to be a system. How long will this continue?

I don't BLAME the immigrants either. I certainly understand that they would want to come here for a better life.

But the days of just having immigrants come and do whatever is long gone. Our systems are FAR different than they used to be. So we really have to do it differently.
