Repenting in the same day

Does the bible say something about repenting in the same day after sin to prevent the devil to cause problems in your life? Im pretty sure it does.

You might be thinking of "Do not let the sun set on your anger."

Not letting things fester. I think it's a logical action to repent as soon as you realize you have done something wrong. Otherwise, you are choosing to hang onto it.

People call that "opening the door" to evil.

Dear AnswersforChrist. The Bible, God`s Word to Man, tells us to REPENT, to exchange our selfish and wilful character into a loving and forgiving one. Jesus also gave us the Lord`s Prayer, in it we say: " give us today our daily bread," that means we pray daily. The prayer also says:" forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us," that also means daily. I say this humbly and with love, AnswersforChrist. After you have sinned and you recognize it, it is a good time to reflect upon what caused you to sin in the first place so that you don't wind up in that position again. Then ask for forgiveness with all sincerety of the heart. Provided you forgive others you will be forgiven. You need to recognize the moment that you are being attacked so that you can cause these attacks away and avoid sinning. When I'm under attack I always say, "Be pleased O God to deliver me, O Lord make haste to help me" over and over again until the attacks subside. God Bless You

What is time to He who created time? Repent when you have sinned...but do not fall in the trap of thinking that it's ok to sin because right after you will repent.
