Hi gang,
Just some thoughts. My first reaction in touring CF2 was bewilderment especially when trying to figure out the reps/thanks/blessings features. It was obvious that some real changes needed to be made or the existing Blessings Exchange and Repaholics SubForum would be obsolete.
But in exploring further it was obvious that on multiple fronts there were a myriad of adjustments needed throughout CF and it would be some time before they were all addressed. At that point I adopted my custom title: "Patience, RD ....." as a reminder to myself.
The lead programmer, nexia, is quite excellent and I am confident is making progress as rapidly as possible. The challenge is complicated by all of the features Erwin had patched into the software that do not automatically upgrade with a new version release and need to be addressed after any upgrade. Each upgrade changes the way some things are done so it is a daunting task.
MY ADVICE TO REPAHOLICS:
Patience. As the software is being upgrade let's focus some on fellowship. I think this is needed in our area anyway so this transition may push us a bit to lay off reps as the primary fixation (RD trembles to write that) and get to know each other.
I do know that upper mgmt are aware of the features we requested and hopefully in time they will be able to implement them. This SubForum has become a vital part of CF and a real source of encouragement. I am hopeful this can resume in the CF2 environment.
