  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Ok, crazy idea here. See, I have to lose some weight. Well, one of the big factors in weight loss is motivation. What motivates me? Reps!

So here's the idea: we start a group. Weigh in about every week or two, and for each pound you lose, that's one rep. My thought is an initial group of 6-8 people, and if there was more interest, divide up into smaller repping groups so that you don't get repped out (optimism here!).

So let's say I weigh 625 pounds today. (I don't.) If I weigh in next Wednesday and I weigh 622 pounds, that would be three reps from each person. So if everyone lost 2 pounds a week (which would be a bit too fast for most), a group of 8 people would have each person giving out 14 reps per week, 2 per person.

Thoughts? Anyone else motivated by reps?

That's a great idea!! So we would only post the pounds that we lose, correct? We don't have to post our starting weight?

Count me in!

ETA: And we need to remember that if someone is just starting a weight loss program, the first week could be quite a bit higher (ie 5-6 pounds), but that normally doesn't last more than a week or two.
