CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

wow. I go to work, have dinner with friends, just getting in the door and all these changes have taken place........new thread......double the reps.....

I have a couple of reps left for the day but I'm saving those for in the morning so I have some to use. Most of mine wont be available until later in the day. It's hard not to use them now but I want to have some to use in the morning.

Thanks for asking - and thank you if anyone prayed. He didn't get as upset as I expected he would but he's still upset w/ the bad news.
So far, he read the ticket & said that I need to do a traffic class so we don't get points on our insurance. So I'll be doing that when the court mails me the info.
The hardest part was breaking the news & not knowing how he'd be. I used an ironic segway into telling him - first I waited till he ate & was relaxed... & I showed him his favorite cookies
lol. But we were watching tv after dinner & a commercial came on for a new reality show about people getting parking tickets from meter maids.
& then I quietly said, "speaking of tickets........." gulp
lolWhat a day.
I'm like you, I'm saving the last 5 reps I have till early tomorrow am. I can send thank you's from tonite that way too. I LUB this new 40 reppies

I hate the idea of getting a ticket and I got a silly one a few years ago after 2 decades without one, so I also took the traffic course. It costs the same as paying the fine, but it's better than an insurance increase.
I took the course online, which was convenient. Can you do that as well?
