Exactly my look when I heard it too. GMAC will rob you blind if you let them. I told them I was going to tell everyone I know about how they treat their customers. I said for every one customer you lose you lose about 5 others by word of mouth alone.

I think they would rather you be stuck with a lease so that they can get more money out of you. Our credit score went up 30 points in 2 years. I think our credit history with them for 4 years should speak for itself. I told the guy I guess paying on time every month for 4 years was all for nothing. :sigh: I know it's not in the long run but still. I do think because I got REAL nasty with them on the phone with how they were doing things and lying they uped the price to that and came back with the reason of debt to income ratio.

Thank you for the prayers.

I had a similiar problem with Bank of America. They merged with one of my credit cards that I closed and made a special payment arrangement. I have paid all but $1,000.00 on a $27,000.00 debt, never been late.

They did some type of customer file merge and noticed my special payment arrangement. (which was only a reduced interest rate) They cancelled my card with them, called me a deadbeat and raised my interest rate to 28%. My payment history didn't matter to them. I wound up closing the Bank of America card and transferring the $3,000.00 balance to a more friendly credit card company with a 0% interest rate.

By the way, I just pulled my credit report and my numbers are good. Bank of America was just being a nasty company. (wanted to use a different word, didn't know if I could)

Anyway, my advice would be to try a bank to see if they would give you credit to either buy your current car or buy a different car.

We are going to see Horton today, too. I was kind of hesitant because of Jim Carrey's portrayal of the Grinch, and he plays Horton, too, I believe, but since it's animated, we're giving it a try.

We had a good time - my daughter (22 years) went with us, she laughed through the whole thing. Logan didn't say much one way or the other, but Lukas loved it.

I thought it was pretty true to the story too - they expounded on a few things from the book, but overall it was followed pretty closely.

I liked it - will probably purchase the DVD when it comes out to have for when the boys visit

been a really quiet day.

ROFL!!!!

Now substitute a two-year old for that picture, and you'll know what happened at my house some years ago, with predictable results.

LOL. That son of mine is now a chemical engineer...

I seem to remember a different story (narrator-wise), but I agree the overall story followed what I remember of the book. I didn't think it was hilarious, but it was enjoyable.

Wow, what a day.

Well, I thought we were just going to garden...But I needed to go to Sam's to get milk (my teens drink a gallon a day). Then my DH reminded me that today was OPERA DAY! So--we went to the opera! Actually to the movie theater to catch a live broadcast from the Metropolitan Opera. We saw "Peter Grimes." What a sad story, and so applicable to our own lives.

When we got home, we decided to garden after all--and ended up taking out a wisteria bush/vine that has been destroying our fence, and overwhelming an almond tree. This was amazingly difficult, and I suspect we haven't won--those roots are not dead.

I'm beat. But what a great day!

can't tell you how many times my kids have either snaked out their toilet or actually had to call the plumber because of the things their 3 year-old has flushed (little action characters seem to be his favorite)

They did a mini-remodel on their bathroom about 1 1/2 years ago - I think they had the plumber back 2 days after it was finished because of something Gan had flushed.

Fortunately for me he hasn't done that at my house (at least not to the point of totally plugging my toilets)

I can imagine the frustration. Well, maybe he's another engineer-to-be!

When we moved into our home, the kid's bathroom was CARPETED. And we had three boys, besides our girl. And at least one of them LIKED to see what happend to Play School figures when repeatedly flushed.

Needless to say, there's tile in that bathroom now...
