it was a crazy day at work.

I had originally agreed to train our replacements in Ohio. They scheduled a full week of travel without asking me if there were any conflicts with my time. Then told me they couldn't pay for me to board my dog. I didn't think my request was unreasonable. So I told them that I wouldn't be able to do it. I know they were really upset with me after that.

They had planned my whole month of March without including me in any of the plans. I only found out by asking my new team leader if she had heard anything.

Maybe it's just me but my attitude would be that I don't owe them anything. They put you in the position you are in. They should be grateful for any kind of help you would give them. I don't think what you asked was unreasonable. Good for you for standing up to them like that.
