If you have little reputation, here is the advice I give to those I have been helping:

First, become a Site Supporter. This will give you 40 reps to give instead of 20, and enable you to easily multi-rep people.

Second, use ALL your reps everyday, if you can do so without sacrificing sleep or family time. If you can, separate your reps into two groups of about 20 and use them early in the day and then later in the day.

Third, In the "How many/much reputation" types of threads, post at least three times every place you rep. This will enable those who want to help you to rep you several times.

If you have 1-5 stars: Go to the "Rep the ten (five, four, three, two, one) above you" type of threads in this subforum. Follow the instructions. This way you will be ASSURED that people rep you.

DON'T get on a thread and just rep everybody. You will probably not be repped back because people usually want to exchange reps with someone near their own level or above. Don't waste your reps.

If you have 5-10 stars: Go to threads such as the Repaholics Support thread, or the "How much/many" reputations threads and look for people who are about your same level. Rep them, then later hit your Control Panel, scroll down and see who is repping you back. Rep those who rep you. Do this also with threads in your own age-related forum. People are always looking for those who will faithfully rep them back.

If someone with LOTS of reputation does rep you, then rep them back. Even rep them back several times, if you can. If you can get somewhere close to their rep power with your multi-reps, then try to do that. Again, keep track of who reps you back and return reps to them.

Remember that no one has to rep you, but you can use your reps to bless people and make friends.

Have fun!

Do you see the little hand icon on my post? If you click on it a window will appear which asks what you think of my post. You can type on that or just leave it blank. If you press "submit" you have just repped me.

Reps are different from blessings, although it is true we use reps to bless people. Blessings accumulate with each post. If you become a site supporter you get a thousand blessings for every dollar you spend. Also you can give blessings to others or receive them.

Reputation is different. It was originally intended to rate people's posts. Now however it is more often used just to bless someone.

Every member has the ability to rep someone ONCE THEY HAVE 100 OR MORE POSTS. Before that number, they CANNOT rep anyone, even though they have a reputation number.

Regular members have a limit of 20 reps per day, Site Supporters get 40.

Reputation grows as people rep a person.
