• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Every now and again I get a harassing comment through the rep system, people trying to avoid moderator judgement I suppose, they use the rep comments instead of pm or post because they think they can get away with it and they know a person can't delete the rep comment and have to look at it all the time. Everyone should know that a moderator can correct this if you get harassed through the rep comment system. I've been helped in this particular area before, people should know they don't have to put up with seeing a harassing rep comment

Aww but you're so lovely!

I am very picky with my rep points! I love giving them out, but only to what I think is a really good post. I love getting them too - it's not a conceited thing, but it makes me feel good because I have written something that has helped someone else in some way.

I'm nearly at 2000. I guess I love numbers and challenges. :) I tend to bless people simply to round their numbers up because I'm a bit obsessive-compulsive lol

I only rep posts that I really agree with, or if I think someone made a really good point with their post. For those people that don't have reps enabled, I do it via pm or blessings. I don't give out all that many, but the ones I do give out have a comment attached. If you want to build up your rep points quickly, spend some time in the recreation forum. People there seem to rep a lot for no reason. That's how mine got so high. While it's always nice to get reps, I like the ones that have a comment to go along with it, not just "hi", and are given for a good post, not just for the heck of it. :)

I want to challenge you guys to start repping those whose posts you find brilliant... When i get them (like my nice only one today (thanks you kno who)) I love it, and it gets me going so much!

Lets all encourage each other more... we can 10x per day you know!
Great idea! It's really not that hard to do...whenever I read a post that I think is wonderful, I go ahead and rep that person immediately. It doesn't take long at all...repping takes less than a minute to do. Of course it's always nice to receive reps, but giving out reps keeps us all humble before God and allows us to be more loving and appreciative towards others. In life, what comes around, goes around. So why not continue the circle of love? :groupray:
