  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have this reoccurring dream—in the dream I’m back in high school; but I’m my age in real life and still have worries and frustrations that I have in real life—I’ll be a 33 years old sitting in a high school English class worrying about mortgage rates or if the car needs new tires. I’ll look around and wonder why I’m back in high school. It’s all very surreal because I’m older than most of the teachers and yet no one questions me being a middle age high school student.

I always wake up from this dream rather mystified—I never really think about my high school days, I had kind of a rough life as a teen-ager but high-school was ok. I don’t go around missing my youth, but I also don’t think I was terribly bad off in high school. I don’t understand why I keep having this dream.

Dear Random...

According to Gustavus Hindman Miller's book titled "10,000 Dreams Interpreted" to dream of attending school indicates distinction in literary work. Additionally, to visit the schoolhouse of your childhood days portends that discontent and discouraging incidents overshadow the present. Ask the Lord for the interpretation, and He'll graciously provide.

Your Bro. in Christ,

This is just from my experience but I had tons of dreams of high school after I dropped out. I even had these dreams through college. I dreamt that I changed my mind and went back to high school. Deep down, I know I wished I had tried harder (I dropped out because it was too late for me to start over).

Maybe there is some element of this in your dream. I'm definitely not an interpreter but maybe there is a feeling of wanting to go back to your teenage years? Or, a thought just came to mind, there is something holding you back. You've been able to progress in most areas (having your own home and car) but something is holding you back (still going to high school). I don't know what or in what way... My first piece of advice would be to take my words with a grain of salt...

i have high school dreams sometimes.... even elementary school dreams sometimes!

my theory is that it involves some sort of unresolved issue from that time in your life... a psychological issue, social issue, spiritual issue, whatever. and you are trying to integrate that issue into your adult life, and continue on the path toward maturity and wholeness. :)

that's what those dreams mean for me, anyway. :)

To be mature as a christian is to know that your worries God will provide for you as He does the sparrow, trust in the Lord all things, God will find a way for you to take care of all things, trust in Him and when you do your spirit will bee seen for the age that you are, when God shows us as we were when we were younger He is showing us areas we need to grow and mature in. may God be with you in all.

I believe the Lord is revealing your level of maturity in Him. I believe the Lord is giving you a Holy Gost reality check of where you stand in your Christian growth.

Wouldn't all of us like to know what our true level of Christian maturity is? To know where we stand is to know ones self, the real us, the way God sees us.

How many Christians only think they have a good bead on things? This is called self decepition.

It is written: "Those who know themselves will be strong and do mighty exploits in my name."

Advice: Keep going all the way until graduation day from high school. Then may I suggest going to God's university.
