Reoccuring Dream about Evil

Hi there everyone, wondering if you can help me out with a dream I keep having. Its not the same dream each time, but the same stuff keeps happening. I am having this type of dream about once a week and I wake up scared. A little on my background : I have been saved for awhile now and I don't fear evil and have really changed my life to where I am not running from my past or some horrible sin is not haunting me at this point. All in all life is good right now. Here's why I mentioned that stuff....

My Dream:

I will be enjoying my dream (very vivid and colorful) usually enjoying some carefree activity and eventually I start running. One time this cute little girl was chasing me and another time I was running after some people playing a game. Each time I will end up running around a corner or an area and then out of nowhere a feeling of complete dread comes over me and I sense pure evil. It feels so out of place in my dream that I wake up looking around scared and feeling like I am not alone(besides my husband sleeping next to me) It almost feels like some evil presence is invading my dreams. One time I was chasing after some friends running through an apartment complex. We ran straight through as if we were playing a game. We came out on the other side and I saw the name of the complex and I had felt like I had been there before and dread came over me. All of a sudden these dead people or bad people (they felt evil) started talking to me and I woke I and was scared to death. All my dreams start out fine then take a weird, off track turn for the worse.

Do you think this means something? Has someone had similar dreams? I keep asking God but I feel like I still don't understand.

I took a quick look at your profile and that, plus what you write, lead me to think that if this were my dream (and I've had some like it) I'd see myself brought suddenly face-to-face with issues from my past that I had ignored rather than settled. In my case, many or most of these came from the drinking years.
The message I see is that you will have to face these sooner or later; and the good news is that not all of these "people" will turn out to be as bad or evil as they first appear. The judgements of the Lord are true and righteous altogether but, let's face it, we don't always put the right "people" - parts of our personality, character traits, etc - in those little private hells we each have.

Working with the dreams themselves can be a rewarding process and, in time, even fun; but at the outset it can be hard work. There's a language barrier between our waking minds and the dream mind. I'd suggest you talk to your pastor about finding a good, post-addictive pastoral counsellor.

The enemy attacks you in your dreams that is not uncommon.. I have those type of dreams but, now I have an angel directly over my head. The dreams are so intense that I woke up with my heart racing.. Just pray because the enemy has no authority over you but, do learn from your dreams. write them down. keep record because that is another way we learn.

I kind of understand how you're feeling right now. I myself have nightmares...all the time.
Though mine are mainly my friends and family being murdered, raped, tortured...And so on.
It is very scary...
I've only been a christian again for three months. I feel that Satan is trying to hold onto me...and he can't! I've prayed and prayed, and renounced my sins I've commited through Satan.
Keep praying to Christ...I know it's hard. But eventually, it will stop.
Question, are you on any medications?

I would recommend that you do a spiritual inventory of everything you take into your mind throughout the day - stuff you read, watch, listen to, etc. It could be that the Lord is showing you that you are taking evil into your mind and he's showing how that you might go along fine for awhile and it will feel like it is not impacting you, but then out of nowhere it creeps up on you from around the corner. Ask him to show you anything that he wants you to stop watching, listening to, reading, etc.

Then, replace anything evil that you were taking into your mind (remember 'evil' can be very subtle) with something that is positive - the word of God, time in prayer, Christian music, good reading or listening or video material with positive messages. Then, see if you still have the dreams.

It seems as if a demon or an evil spirit may be interfering with your dream and that is why you feel that evil around you. Before you go to bed you should pray asking Jesus Christ to protect you from all harm and danger and from all demonic spirits. If this continues you should ask your pastor or an elder in your church to pray for you.

Hello, I just broused over your thread and i thought i would comment on it. I have had some similar dreams and done some real deep searching and prayer on the interpretation of dreams and what they mean.

To give a very basic answer on what i found is when you have a dream of some one chasing you and you are in fear the one that is chasing is usually interprated to be a enemy in some cases a demon, and you being chased to another place surround be the feeling of fear is probally a sign on where they or it is trying to lead you or influence you.

The main point i seen is that u feared and that is something you shouldn't do. In GOD'S word he said 365 times Do Not Fear.

To gather the interprtation of your dream I would pray and it wil be revealded to you. But for now focus on not fearing and keep your faith.
