Rent? Nope, you can t rent pc games, at least where i live. I used to rent for games when i still used a console(pre xbox). I would be excited for a game to be released, then find out it wasnt that great or had limited replayability.

I found it a lot cheaper to rent a game, then if i really liked it, i would go out and buy it. Also i never had late fees, especially with blockbusters prices, you couldnt afford to.

We had a local movie rental place that was only $1 per day on weekdays :). But i have saved hundreads of $ by renting then buying a game. I do the same with most movies as well.

I have too many games to play right now (and little time to play when school is in session) that renting isn't something that I do a lot. Though I've thought about joining GameFly so I can try different games without worrying about when it's due (or finding that I don't like it, but I've rented it for 5 nights; a-la Blockbuster).

Its nice where i live for video rental prices. Blockbuster closed down about 6mo ago because they were so expensive.. well average for most of the parts of the country i have visited, but expensive for where i live.

Block buster $4 for 3 days (price may have changed)
Hastings $3 for 5 days with $1 credit if returned the next day.
Movie gallery $1.50 / day
Playtime video $1/day $2.50/ weekend day.(mostly fullscreen :( )

We dont have hollywood video or ffa (family friendly video). It makes me sick to go out of town and have to rent videos due to the prices else where in the states.

Hollywood Video here charges $8 for a game rental (5-days)

For those interested in GameFly, it's a good option, though the cheapest deal (1 at a time) is I think $16/month, so half a buck a day. Still, it's nice to be able to get games for as long as you want with an option to keep it for a discounted price. My biggest problem, though, was forgetting to send it off, then waiting for the next one to arrive. Still, good for cost effectiveness.

Sounds pretty neat. I think I've heard of them before, just never checked them out. Spending 50 bucks on games these days really hits home, so I probably should look into something like this :D

Do you guys still rent video games? I use to rent the video games but had alot of late charges now that blockbuster has changed that so i don't have to pay i am thinking about renting games. Does any 1 else rent games.
I dont rent if I can. I dont really play consoles and you cant rent PC games.

Im the kind of guy who plays a game to DEATH before I stop, I play it for WEEKS if its good. I'd end up with enough money in late fees to buy the game six times over. Better just to buy it, and if its bad, trade it.
