  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I would like feedback on the Musical/Film from a Christian point of view. I will say that I have seen it in the theatre 4 times, and is on my list at #2 for the years best movies. What does everyone think about RENT?

There are at least 3 previous threads about Rent here....

http://www.christianforums.com/t2393951-rent.html
http://www.christianforums.com/t2354370-rent.html
http://www.christianforums.com/t2339167-rent.html

And probably still another one in the Broadway forum.. so you can see what folks think...

Personally I love Rent ......but I don't really see it as one of the years best movies.. especially those ridiculous sojourn to Santa Fe scenes.. but I still saw the movie 3x... (actually it'll be 4 tonight as we're going to catch it before it closes locally tomorrow) and I'll never hear "Will I Lose My Dignity....." without bursting into tears... I'll always get ridiculously happy watching Anthony Rapp dance on the tables at Life Cafe and secretly (ok not so secretly) hope that Rent becomes one of those shown every week at midnight cult classics.
