  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The previews will blind you of what the movie is really about. I had only heard of the musical RENT but have never seen it so me and my friend Katie went and show it at the movies. I was SHOCKED, there sex, gays, STD'S and all types of stuff but I loved it. I thought it was a good movie and I went out and got the soundtrack. But the previews really trick you, you think your going to see a movie aobut this people we can't pay their rent (which is the case at first) but then it just goes off and there is a lot of girl on girl action and stuff. Its pretty racy but I loved it. Its really weird, I would usually hate movies like that but at the same time I LOVE MUSICAL!

Yeah, I didn't even really know what the story of "Rent" was about. Like you, I thought that it was just about a bunch of different people who met and formed relationships in their aparment building. I thought it was kind of a neat idea and it could really have a lot of possibilities. A christian friend of mine saw and she said she really liked it, but didn't talk about it too much. Finally, a co-worker saw it and she was raving about it and singing all the songs, so I asked her about the story, excited to hear what it was about. I was so incredibly disappointed that it was entirely about homosexuals and contained homosexual activity to the extent it did.

It made me so glad I didn't spend money to see either the musical or the movie. There's too much of that coming out nowadays, and it's sad.
