RENT--The MOVIE!

My husband, who's a big Rent fan, got us the soundtrack CD for the movie today. It's pretty good (I've only heard the first CD). There's a song on there that's new, apparently it was cut from the original Broadway score or something like that. I'll have to listen to it.

I have never seen the actual musical, but when I saw the trailer I fell in love with the music!(the little that I heard) So I have to get the music now, but I was told that the original cast soundtrack is better. Any thoughts???

i have the original broadway recording, the first time i heard it, i loved it! i still have to see the play before i see the movie. the movie does look really good. my friend taylor got me into it. i can't wait to see both!

The music in this is so cool. *smiles at La Via Boheme and Today for you Tomorrow for me* Those are my favorite songs, btw. ;-)

I am soooo looking forward to this movie... I got to see the original broadway production with the original cast years ago! I am excited a good bit of the original cast are also in the movie!

Considering how a good majority of the original cast are in the movie--- I would think they would sound extremely similar.

I saw one ad for it a couple of days ago and it looked awesome. A lot of the same actors that performed the original stage version are gonna be in it so it is gonna be great with their voices.

Saw it (actually twice already LOL) I saw it on Broadway with the original cast so it was pretty nice seeing them all together again (except of course for Joanne and Mimi.. but gotta give props for casting... nice job) There's a thread in movies going on this movie.. or barely going on this movie

I'm familiar with the music and all, I can't wait to see this, if I finish up some school work I get to go see it tuesday!

IT WAS AMAZING! I loved it, I'm going to see it again. It made me cry nuff said.
