CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

...it's indicative of my life. Never quite as popular as the popular kids. Never make quite as much money as my peers. Never quite as smart as the next guy. Just miss the promotion, the sale, the deadline. Never was very competitive or aggressive or mainstream.
Always behind in the trends. Always "got it" (whatever it was) later in life than other people got it. Always a bit on the naive side. Always picked last for Softball, never invited to the party.
People are always surprised that I have what I do. Because I have always been the tortoise...never the hare.
And yet... that's okay. You can't change who you are. You can't make people like you. They either do, or they don't. Things like that can't be forced. (well, they can, but I don't usually like the type of people who force them)
I beg your indulgence...a little forgiveness if you're feeling particularly magnanimous. It's a manic day.
