• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

OK, I don't know if this is a CF fad or a long term thing, but I'll jump on for the ride. Maybe I'll find out something interesting about myself.

Ask away! And for the record, just to clear things up from the start, I prefer apples over oranges. ;)

Do you always go with the crowd? ;)

You don't have to answer that one...now for the legit questions:

Favorite color?

Favorite time of year?

Do you prefer to drive a manual or automatic?

If you were allowed to do absolutely anything and guaranteed to make enough money to survive on, what is the one thing you'd want to do and would never get tired of?

Actually, that’s a good question. I’m not sure. I don’t think I do.

Green

Favorite time of year?

Depends on the year. Speaking strictly from a Southern California weather perspective, usually February through April.

Do you prefer to drive a manual or automatic?

Automatic. It allows me to hold my phone and my sub sandwich while I’m driving. :D

I might pick what I’m doing now, electrical engineering. More likely, I’d either pick nature photography or a missionary support type job, like being an engineer for Mercy Ships or Samaritan’s Purse or something.

Outside of the continental U.S., name one place you'd like to visit?

It’s tough to pick just one out of all the places out there, but I’ll go with Peru. I love their food, music, accent, and mountains.

Do you speak any other languages besides English?

Some Spanish.

Right handed or left?

Right.

Yay for someone who likes green!

Is that a question? :p

Do you speak Latin?

Not really. I know a little bit about its structure, and I know a lot of the root words, but that’s all.

Do you have pets?

Nope.

Where would your ideal vacation be?

An early summer backpacking trip through the Sierras or in Glacier National Park.

Who is your favorite superhero?

Does Aragorn count?

Would you ever want to own a pet rat?

I’ve had four over the years. I’d consider getting one again.

What is your favorite animal and why?

Can’t really say that I have one.

What is your favorite dessert?

I think I’d have to go with cheesecake.

Do you enjoy cooking?

Yes, but it’s not normally something I’d do just for the fun of it.

why do you like climbing the mountains?

It's a combination of the clean air, the exercise, the challenge, the camaraderie with my fellow climbers, and the chance to see so many awesome things that most people never get to see.

If you could move anywhere where would you like to go?

I'm actually pretty happy with where I am. But there are a few other places I like a lot: Tucson, AZ, Bridgeport, CA, and western PA are probably at the top of the list.

Yogurt or Ice Cream?

Both are good, but ice cream is better.

Favorite Book?

That's hard to say, but Return of the King is the only one that has actually made me tear up.

Favorite Horror Movie?

I don't really watch horror movies. I loved Arsnic and Old Lace, but that's more of a spoof than a real horror movie.

Alison Krauss & Union Station or Nickel Creek?

That's probably the toughest question yet. Of the two, I've only seen Nickel Creek live, but I think I'd have to go with Alison Krauss & Union Station. Dan Tyminski just might be my favorite musician. On the other hand, Chris Thile's "Not All who Wander are Lost" is probably my favorite album in that genre.

Morning Person or Night Person?

Morning, usually.

Cold Weather or Warm?

Warm.
