The difference though are you willing to do God's will and be His servant, or use religion for your own will and not God's. And yes, than there is those who don't believe at all, sadly. In the end there will be two categories according to scripture, those who are with Christ and those who are not. There are people who are neither also.
Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.
Clare73 said:To understand that correctly, you must account for all the altering between the sacrificial laws and their removal, the change of the priesthood, the lawgiver and the mediator, etc.
The ceremonial laws have been altered. The Ten are not ceremonial laws, the are God's eternal laws. It will also be a sin to worship other gods, lie and not keep God's Sabbath Holy along with the other 7 commandments.
Actually all sin including the ones you mentioned has an umbrella under God's Ten.I agree that there are some passages in the scriptures that indicate that the old covenant was based just on the ten commandments. But I think there's other passages that indicate that it's based on many more commandments.
I attribute the difference to books like Exodus probably being the writings of more than one author, possibly compiled into its present form during the Babylonian captivity.
I agree that the vast majority of Christians observe God's rest on every day of the week.
How about if I reword it this way,
"Would you agree that the majority of Christians do not refrain from physical labor such as mowing the lawn or running the sweeper/hoovering on Saturday?"
Certainly there's going to be a lot of overlap between the 10 commandments and what is written on our hearts.
But there will also be some differences, imo.
Most Christians agree that being proud is not God's way. But that's not one of the 10.
Most agree that God wants us to hold the Bible in high regard.
Meet together frequently with other believers.
Again, not in the 10.
So I think what God writes on our heart is ideas, approaches, a lifestyle. There's going to be a lot of overlap with the 10 commandments and other laws given through Moses, but I don't think God writes a set of words, He gives a spirit.
The difference though are you willing to do God's will and be His servant, or use religion for your own will and not God's.

Which is a sin and is one of God's commandments.1 Thessalonians 4:3 (ESV)
For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality;

But the ceremonial laws have been altered.
So God's statement does not apply to the ceremonial laws? The ceremonial laws are not the commandments of God including the Sabbath commandment. The ceremonial laws are the blood sacrifices, feasts and circumcision.
The ceremonial laws ended at the cross with the blood sacrifice of our Savior. God only wrote with His own finger and spoke with His own Words the Ten commandments. That is His eternal covenant and why it was kept separated in the most holy of holy in the Ark and now written in our hearts in the New Covenant. So God's statement does not apply to the ceremonial laws?
By the way, you've done a superb job with your very lengthy thread.
Thank you and I give all praise to Him. I appreciate your contribution, I know we don’t agree on all things, but its good to be able to talk through it. I hope to see you around! God bless.By the way, you've done a superb job with your very lengthy thread.
We are removing God's laws....so we think. People are attending church less and less.
But God has played the end game already.
Romans 13:1
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
Which is a sin and is one of God's commandments.
Yes, but the book of the law was also on the Ark. *they went wherever the contents on the inside went.
The law of Moses was outside, not the TEN. Is that what you are referring to?Yes, but the book of the law was also on the Ark. *they went wherever the contents on the inside went.
You have a thought on why it was on the outside, not on the inside?
Do you think God’s will is not what He spoke and wrote? How are we sanctified?
I messed up.. Should have included all of the passage.
Technically speaking, our sanctification is the will of God.
That entails more than just the one verse.
Yes.The law of Moses was outside, not the TEN. Is that what you are referring to?
Do you think God’s will is not what He spoke and wrote? How are we sanctified?
What are your thoughts on why it was outside the Ark? I have my thoughts but curious what are yours.Yes.
To live like Christ as our example and not sin. We can only do this when we let God lead and though the help of the Holy Spirit.Great question!
How are we sanctified?
Guess we need to define sanctification.
What are your thoughts on why it was outside the Ark? I have my thoughts but curious what are yours.
