Removed: Newsgroups Forums

Because of lack of interest by members. It is not worth importing the posts into our database, as it increases the server load and slows down the whole system for everyone.

Actually, I stopped importing new posts into those forums for 5 days now - no one has seemed to notice or miss it, so I have removed those forums altogether.

Just letting you guys and gals know about it.

Gotcha on that one.
I love browsing the forums, but your feature on news on the Home page has lots of news. Seems that folks like responding to the news on the other forums, where they fit the topics.

Hi Patty.

No, I don't mean the news, I mean the newsgroups - eg. alt.music.christian or rec.music.christian - they are just like forums, but are part of the USENET network that is external to this site.

The News will still be updated daily here.
