Destablize!??? ^_^

The place was a trainwreck from the moment Saddam murdered his way into power. The U.S. told him to cease and desist in order to comply with U.N. (sic) sanctions and weapons inspections.

He said "no". That was the wrong answer.

However, since the United Notions is a U.S. funded political brothel, being a spineless body of words only and NOT action, the U.S. went to Iraq to remove the despot from power and put an end to its tyranny in the region.

I'm thankful to God that we have a President that doesn't cow to the U.N. whenever they sit around in zombie-like fashion in the giant building we built for them on the property that my forefathers fought and died for so that they can effect INTERNATIONAL DOMINION on my country!?

I hope that after Mr. Bush brings our troops home from Iraq, we bulldoze the U.N. and run the pedantic stoolies out on their backsides.

But I digress...

Since the topic was started by an obvious liberal, please enlighten us as to why the King of Democrats, JFK started the Vietnam War and why Johnson had to drive 50,000 troops into a meat grinder with their hands tied by his own political fears?

At least with Mr. Bush in office, we're WINNING the war, not losing it like we did under Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, and Clinton. :sigh:

Buck72, you are correct!

The U.N. was founded by people that later revealed in sworn testimony that they were Communists. It has been used by Communists to oppress the United States and to curttail them while allowing the Communists to march uncontested over the world.

If there is a free nation that honors the rights of all its citizens it might bring some hope and stability to the Middle East. If there is a free nation there, they will not want it to prosper and so will send all of their malcontents and terrorists to attemp to drive the Americans out of that country.

if you think the UN is a bunch of garbage then we agree on 2 things.

Well, we don't agree on that. The UN does a lotta things wrong (and before ya criticise it, remember that we're largely responsible for a lot of things it does) but it also does a lotta things right.

...if there's an end to the world i think it will be in some way attributed to those bunch of gangsters.

How?

The UN consists of about 100+ countries. Are they all "gangsters"?

Remember, we're one of the most prominent UN members, along with our allies Australia, Canada and Great Britain. Are we "gangsters" as well?

the UN let iraq(saddam) sell oil on the side. and let the iraqi commoner starve. let the US get the blame.

strait outta the Sapranos. i guess i should say UN leadership is a bunch of no goods.

...and lastly the bible state that one world government, religion, and language is a sure sign of end days. what institution, if any, does that sound like.

Actually, the UN said that that Iraq should be allowed to sell oil for food and we agreed with that proposal. Unfortunately, Hussein frequently broke the rules and alot of his people starved as a result. But it was a good idea in principle.

I can't agree, especially since we're part of the UN and we host it and the whole thing is run from America.

The Bible doesn't say that there will be a one world government, religion and language in the last days.

And even if it did, that wouldn't sound anything like the UN. Geez, have you seen what goes on at a UN session? Nobody can agree on ANYTHING, nobody speaks anybody else's language and everybody argues about what to do next!

There's no way in the world that the UN could ever get its act together long enough to become a danger to the rest of us, especially since we're permanent members of the Security Council along with Britain. :)

America is the hyperpower of this age much as the British were before them in the nineteenth century. But in neither case has there been much secular effort to force the Christian religion of the homeland down natives throats when that conflicts with the broader machinations of the politics of the time.

I can believe George Bush is a Christian and I admire him for that. I can believe that the USA is Gods chosen instrument to troubleshoot mass murdering psychopaths like sadam or Milosevic. But in the end a president of the USA is there to look after the material interests of the American people and its closest allies rather than the spiritual ones - things like survival, prosperity, peace, justice in international relations rather than a personal relationship with God. His great gift to the Iraqi people is the freedom to make up their minds where they want to go AFTER sadam. they would not have this choice were it not for him but he cannot guarantee for ever that they will make the right choices with their new found freedoms. germany and France were similarly liberated from evil dictators by the Americans and british and as they demonstrated in the Iraqi crisis are now demontrably free to go where they please. I can believe Bush does Gods will from within the constraints of his position without asking him to advocate that rich Americans give all their wealth to the poor, that America uses its military muscle to exterminate all the major centres of alternative false religions etc. He can make America and its friends safe and he can give peoples long oppressed the choice for their own futures. He cannot make their choices for them.

As for the UN its hotchpotch nature will always place close to the spirit of the age and keep it just a confused and impotent.

Christians believe that one day an AntiChrist will arise who will attempt to create a world state and world religion. maybe the UN will become meaningful at this point in time!

Dude, we've got the firepower and the manpower to impose American rule on any nation we want (except China, heheh.) We are strong enough to form a one-world govt and you know it so enough with the "whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat???"s already, 'k? ;)

The UN doesn't "tell ppl what to do", it works hard to preserve and protect human rights, including the very principles this nation was built on including the right of the individual to love, life and happiness, freedom of religion and the dignity of mankind.

There's nothin wrong with that.

Anyways, if you think the UN is gonna build a global govt, tell me WHICH MEMBERS of the UN will do it? And how will they get around the Security Council?

The UN isn't some kinda semi-government sitting in a dingy barn somewhere, it's a place where the representatives of more than a hundred countries come to resolve their differences and discuss international affairs.

And it's based right here in America. :D

I get the feelin you don't really understand what the UN is or how it works, man.

On September 12th, 2001, over 3000 people were executed in America, intentionally, but you probably didn't hear about it in the papers there.

Every 100 days over 300,000 people are intentionally executeded, for profit, in America, yet very few pay any attention.

Yet when a "dictator" in another country imposes death sentences upon a much smaller percentage of its citizens for violating the country's laws, the U.S. goes ballistic, even though the massive U.S. executions are a result of no laws being broken.

Over 35,000,000 people have been executed in America in the last 30 years, and Americans have the nerve to accuse someone they helped establish, arm, train, and advise?

Is that what you call a "stable" society?
Do you care to elaborate? I know that there have been 1.5 million abortions per year in the US- is this what you are refering to? Thirty five million in 30 years??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Please tell us how this happened.

I'm sorry that you understand so little about international politics in general and the UN in particular.
I understand plenty there Ikaria, unlike most that parrot what they hear on CNN, I read the source documents. Oh, and I'm a participant.

Please include a reference to my "little understanding" so that we can have a proper chataqua regarding these points.

Thanks!!
