Remembering the Sixties!

I dunno about you, but biggest change from the 50's, the age of innocence; was the 60's, where we lost it after JFK's assisination.

My dad sent me this in an email with a link:

But there is a wealth of music and history that followed those decades of "our" time. Suffice to say, a lot changes came about 'tween the fifties and the seventies that only those who were there can appreciate. Well, I'm close to exiting my 40's, but I have only very vague memories of stuff from the early 60's. Most significant ones for me seem to be from the period of 1965 - 1969. I do remember getting our first color TV, in 1965. Too bad most shows were still in B & W!

LOL, I was a baby and don't remember a thing!

But when I see the world now, sometimes I wish I had been in my early twenties in the 60s. I like the 60s music and songs and cars and way they dressed and so many other things.

I was in elementary school in the 60's, and enjoyed life at that time! I love 60's music, too!

I'm on the backside of my forties and I can't remember much of the early 60's. But I enjoyed the later 60's. I loved the music and also some of the movies from the 60's. the Graduate, Mid-nite Cowboy. A Clockwork Orange, One flew over the Coco's Nest. Easy Rider, Bonnie and Clyde and I could think of plenty more.

The first year I can remember as far as knowing what year it was at the time was 1968, because I started first grade and we had to write the date on things.

I was 12. I remember just sitting there - watching so intently. Wasn't it cool?
