  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Also from 1962, and also by The Crystals--or was it? Nope. They get credit for the song on the record, and yes, they did perform it live; but it is NOT them on the orginal recording!! Phil Specter came across the song, and knew it was perfect; but they were on the other side of the country, and refused to return to record the song. He knew that Vicki Carr was planning to record it, so he had it recorded by a studio group--Darlene Love and the Blossoms, but released it as The Crystals.

Here is a classic from The Angels. Now, the music for this video is from the orginal 45rpm record; and you will not find in on any cd that I know of! The difference? Cd versions of the song insert a short insturmental near the end.
