I enjoyed Dan's posts in the "prepping" threads. I only just recently learned of his passing and my prayers go out to his family during their time of grief.

One of the last remarks he made in those threads is

"i'd rather just surrender. nobody's getting out of this world alive anyway."

I remember thinking sometimes we do have to "surrender to win" just like when we surrender our lives to Christ.

I am truly sorry to hear about him passing; may your grief be brief and your memories be fond.
