  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I remember 911 all too well. I think the US should leave Iraq and leave other nations alone. We have a LOT of work to do in America. How about trying to solve problems that really matter ?

A poor economy. An exceedingly high divorce rate. Anti-male bias in the American justice system. Unfair domestic violence laws. Anti-black police officers. Unfair divorce laws. Exceedingly high cost of higher education.
Anti-Gay policies. Anti-Male policies (they are everywhere).

Yea - lets leave Iraq and other nations alone so they can fly more airplanes into our buildings and terroize the heck out of our innocent citizens.

You just don't get it, man. Any nation or group that even looks crosseyed at our precious freedom should be prepared to pay the consequence. Thats why we went to Afgahnastan and why we are still in Iraq.

All the problems you mentioned are valid - but ain't no point solving them if we are getting killed by our enemies in the process.

God Bless the men and women in combat - protecting our freedom RIGHT NOW!

Part of what your soldiers are fighting for and protecting against is the treatment of woman in those countries. Animals are treated better in your country than the woman and girls of those terrorist countries. Also, the domestic violence laws are neccessary, caused by abusive people with a great disrespect for human dignity, who then force decent people to make and enforce laws. Pray for your leaders, even if you did not vote for them, respect law enforcement, they were placed there by God. Be grateful that you are not a twelve year old girl in another country, forced to marry and have children.. Be grareful that you are not a woman, innocently accused of adultry, being shot in the back of the head publicly. Praise the Lord all day today that you can sit where you are sitting and share your thoughts and opinions. Remember all those who died and suffered on 9/11. Have a groovy and peacful day in your fabulous country, God Bless, J

Yeah the Friday before 9-11, we had a missing man formation for retreat. Basically recognizing all the graduates of the Academy that have died in the past year. Very emotional every year but falling so close to the anniversery of the terrorist attacks made it that much more. If you've never been to a missing man formation and seen the missing man flyover it's quite an experience I suggest you go see one.

Anyways, the war on terrorism is just in my opinion. I think it was necessary to remove Saddam from power. How many times can we let the UN slap him on the wrist only to have him give us the finger? However, although the military instrument of power was very effective in removing the leadership of Iraq, which will go a long way in protecting the rights of the average Iraqi citizen (not to mention the protection of our country), the battle against terrorism is hard to end with just military might. When Iraq is said to be a breeding ground for terrorists, it is in the most literal sense! There are schools that young Arab men can attend to be indoctrinated with Islamic fundamentalist extremist ideals. We can always bomb the training grounds, but as we do, I see the line between homes and training grounds becoming thinner and thinner. Maybe a taste of democracy in the nation will condition a culture that does not 1) hate Americans and 2)does not turn to terrorist acts as a means of conveying its message. Just throwing some ideas out there.
