Familiar, haunting, sad images and sounds will visit of our TV screens again, memories of 9/11. Two questions:

!.)What are your thoughts about what happened that day?

2.)The second question:There is so much complaining and negative things that people say about America. What are the things you love about the USA?

An important impression that remains with me is the hundreds of people that were unashamed to pray in the streets and how many awknowledged God.

My answer to the second question is my gratitude for the freedom to speak my mind, choose what I want to believe, and live out who I am and what I believe in public without fear of being put in prison or worse...killed.

Care to comment?

I live in Canada but it was traumatic for us as well, feeling like 3rd ww was about to begin.

In answer to the second question what struck me the most was the stoic responce of Americans toward the danger.

Besides what was already commented on, there was another thing, that it didnt matter who u were that day or where you were. Everyone in an establishment, neighbors etc (people u didnt know or did know) were talking to each other. It was like everyone came together. I wish it would have continued.
I also think we need to remember 9/11 but we also need to do it in our own way, I dont think it needs to be replayed and replayed on the television. I also dont think the families that lost loved ones need to have to deal with the media flashing it on the air. Prayer is the answer - the media should try that.

Remember out of something bad
Can come something good
As people came together and
God was in it the whole entire time.
He hates it when His people hurt.
As He is there to comfort and strengthen them.

9-11, the Day the Angels Cried.

People coming together in prayer impressed me.

I too am thankful for living in freedom and being able to worship, and to be educated. There is so much that we (USA) take for granted that others do not have.

I was just a little girl when it happened i did not under stand, but i knew it was bad and so many people where crying. I'm only 16 but I understand now that what happened that day was bad but it brought people together and that is good it brought our entier country together so if nothing else one thing i love about our country is that in hard times we pull together, but for some reasone we have losened our grip and we are not standing together right now. we need to in good times as well as the bad we need to stand next to each other and support each other. so may be we need to remind our selves in a peorsonal way about what happened and remember to hold on to the people you love and love the people who have lost some one. well thats what i got i am so sorry to any one who lost some one that day and you are in my prayers at night.

Sorry if that is not what you are looking for but there you go.

Thanks! You made a very good point. I'm glad to see one of the younger generation speaking with such wisdom. You have a good head on your shoulders girl!
