I want to tell you a story. It is about a little girl. Her name is Alanna. A couple years ago, Alanna wasn't feeling so well and her parents too her to the doctor to see what was wrong. They got some really bad news that day. Alanna had cancer. Her family was told that the type of cancer Alanna had was very treatable and common among children. Then they gave them the bad news, the place where Alanna's cancer was had only been reported in a handful of people in the past 30 years, making it more difficult to treat. right away, Alanna started chemotherapy and then once that was done she had to deal with radiation. Alanna won her fight. She is still alive and is now the children's hospital child spokesperson for my area. Should I mention that I have known her since she was born and have watched her grow up? Sure it has not been easy these past few years but she is a fighter.
My mom also had cancer. When she was diagnosed she was told she had 9 days to live unless they started treatment that day. She did and is now living a very productive life.
Remember, you can win, You can, You can, You can!
