Dove finally says: You beauty affects everything: your life, job, and how you treat your children.
.

I think you are mistaken and that Dove is right. Your looks do affect how a lot of other people will treat you. That includes your job and relationships. And, if you think you look ugly, that just might affect how you do your job. If you think you look ugly, then you will think others view you that way. Red, you might even see those who disagree as either messed up or lying. Your lack of self-beauty might affect how you treat your children. In fact, if you think your children are ugly, that is part of how you treat them. If you tell them that you are ugly, you demonstrate that kind of self critical ugliness especially if they look like you. If you call other people ugly, that demonstrates and passes on your view of what is or is not beautiful. Children are smart and will listen. The lack of seeing beauty will lead to things like calling laugh wrinkles crows feet.

So, while I think you are wrong, I do not think Dove is selling the cure for all that. But that doesn't make a little Dove soap a bad thing--even though I know you hate the moisturizer in it.

I have a feeling you'll come to agree with me.

Yourself.

So the message is "physical appearances matter a lot, like really, really a lot...and you look better than you give yourself credit for. But remember physical appearances matter A LOT!"

Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream is yet to come true.

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
