  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Remember the gut feeling thing?

maybe the people here have already forgotten about the whole gut feeling of going to hell thing, well I am glad to inform I am mostly over it. And I honestly don't know why i keep getting attacked, my gut region started to act up almost like when you eat something bad, and then I went into a minor cold sweat. I then had visuals of something coming up from my throat and telling me to "kill my mother" And saw the most disgusting thing I have ever seen, it was a red fleshy facial expression but I only saw it for a fraction of a second, I am going to guess this is a demon. I did some prayers and such to try to get rid of it and I seem to have been successful. I just thought it would be interesting for you guys to know what happened. Why does Satan attack me with such force? I haven't heard of anyone I personally know talk about this.

There are different parts of the body of Christ. Some people are on the external parts of the body and take the hit for others who have the luxury of doubting there is any danger at all.

I'd recommend to group up with the intercessors or prayer people in your church.

Spiritual attacks can occur for many reasons. You may seek the matter in prayer and ask for a revelation of its root and removal. Vexations may arise due to:

Sin (previous, habitual, and unrepentant)
Spiritual trials and warfare (may arrive due to intercession for others)
Occult involvement (including psychic visits and previous activities)
Growth (progression in godly works)
Breakthroughs (overcoming bondage and strongholds)
New believers (recent profession of faith or movement in that direction)

Also, imaginations may appear as spiritual attacks but they’re rooted in fears you’ve manifested in your mind.

Our first response to spiritual attack is prayer. Confession and repentance are a must to address besetting sins which may be the issue. Ceasing the behaviors around the issue often reduces its frequency. Spiritual counsel should follow.

I have coughed up demons before and heard of others that having thrown up. I do not think it is unheard of that some might be in the gut and cause some physical reaction. Those kind of things did happen in the gospel, with spirits of infirmity and demons such as in the deaf and dumb man. Mark 9:25 (ASV)
25 And when Jesus saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I command thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
That you got relief with self-deliverance is great. I would take the situation as an invitation to learn and do more with others that understand deliverance. Likely you will someday be in a position to help others.

Sometimes this phenomena happens in churches, like they're holding back an ancestral evil that the founders of that congregation knew about. The phenomena goes as follows: When the faith of the congregation can no longer hold the evil back, they start to resemble it as it tries to force its way into this world.

Sometimes people have something similar, the common wording nowadays is a generational curse.

Any spiritual counselor gifted in this area will address the subject from multiple perspectives. They cannot readily assume every situation is demonic. Much like your physician can’t treat you for the flu if you have a cough. He has to do some digging. To act otherwise is irresponsible.

I provided several possibilities which could apply. But without a word from God you’ll remain uncertain and have a growing list of maybes to consult.

Discernment is needed and that requires discussion and prayer. Given what you’ve shared and its directive it may suggest a spirit of wrath or murder. You’ll need to consider why her name was raised and if your relationship has borne strains which may explain its appearance.

Satan can impart thoughts and imaginations in your head. This is why we cast them down. But he’ll also exploit what’s already there. Pray Psalm 91 before retiring to bed for one week. Pay attention to your spirit to see if the issue departs or remains.

I have not been given anything on this issue. I would proceed with my earlier suggestions of prayer and confession. You can post a question in the Spiritual Gifts forum too.

If it were me ...

I would seek out someone with a long history of dealing with such things.

It is possible for a demonic influence to try to convince a person they have been delivered so they will lower their guard (especially if they can make them think the person is somehow specially powerful or able to combat demons on his own - that's a very dangerous delusion).

It is also VERY possible to be literally delivered, but then without properly "filling the house" with something opposing to demons, we can end up with more demonic trouble than we started with.

Whether you've been delivered, or not - either way some skilled help is in order.

And I don't want to offend others here. God of course works where He will, and it is His desire that people are saved, delivered, and come to know Him. But some contemporary groups of people have become enthusiastic about what they have learned, but without centuries of knowledge of demons, and with their focus being so intently on demons can sometimes not be the best place for deliverance. Truly, if it were me, I would seek out help from someone at least connected to the history of dealing with demons that stretches with a monastic tradition through the early desert fathers and back to the Apostles. Being Orthodox, I myself would suggest an EO priest, but the Oriental Orthodox and the Catholics have their roots there as well, and knowledge of the centuries. Again, I don't wish to offend, but I would go there rather than those who have re-entered the arena only about a century or so ago (or less).

But any way you go, I would certainly encourage you to seek more help. And don't be offended if they seek to rule out other causes as well - the responsible thing to do is to find the real source(s) of your problem - even if that means examining every possible scenario - and then progressing to protect you spiritually.

Prayers for you. And God be with you.
