Remaining faithful to vows beyond separation

Hi all,

My name is Lucas. I'm a 24 year old guy working on his Master's in Marriage and Family Counseling, and I have a heart -- albeit feeble more often than not -- for Christ.

I don't really have any specific aim here except perhaps to talk to fellow Christians who are either going through a separation or divorce, have gone through either at some point or another, or can do a really, really good job at empathizing.

I have to admit that when my wife and I were separated I did not honor our marriage vows. She had moved on to another man and left our relationship behind so I felt no obligation to honor our marriage vows. Although I will admit that I enforce that she was still my wife for several years after the fact. She had two husbands for a time. Me and her common-law partner she shacked up with.
