• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I was lead to this board the other day, not even realizing I suffer w/ bouts of what you call "Religous OCD". But as I read the posts, I definitely suffer from this in phases. So knowing what the problem is, is part of the solution. I am now trying to just ignore all these compulsions to feel guilt, condemnation, questioning my salvation, etc. They come but I am refusing to let them ruffle my feathers. It's still a struggle but allowing these things to torment my mind and emotions was tearing me to pieces. I just won't allow it anymore. In fact, I CANNOT take it anymore.

I want to share a really good website, it has an abundance of articles very encouraging and well written. The webmaster is a Christian who has struggled with guilt and religous ocd. Please give it a view, it will offer some much needed encouragment and godly, RATIONAL:amen: instruction
regarding the things we struggle with.

Since I can't post a link, you can find the website by googling: net-burst scrupulosity

The link should have the title: Scrupulosity: Help When Religious Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Causes Unwanted Blasphemy, Profanity or Excessive Guilt

God Bless!

Lean not upon your own understanding. If you are looking for assurance that God loves you and forgives you and that your salvation is secure, the Bible should be assurance enough, don't you think? Trust God's Word. God can't lie.

Hi Theory1
Jesus came to save and not to condemn.
Jesus is annointed to heal the broken hearted and deliver the captives and set at liberty them who are bruised.
A smoking flax He will not snuff out and a broken reed He will not crush.
Jesus promises us love , peace and joy.
The peace Jesus gives, the world cannot take away.
Jesus promises to give good things to those who ask Him.
Jesus is our strength and we can do nothing without Him.
We are welcome to come boldy to the throne of grace and make our requests known to God because we are washed in Jesus blood.
We are to cast all our cares on Jesus because Jesus cares for us.
We can pour our hearts out to Jesus in prayer and renew our minds by reading the bible.
Jesus said he that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.
Jesus died for the sins of the whole world.
Jesus is the Prince of Peace and the Mighty God and the Wonderful Counsellor and the Everlasting Father.
Jesus never gives up on us and His gifts and calling are without repentance.
Mercy triumphs over justice.
We can do nothing without Jesus.
Jesus is our Saviour, the Sheppard of our souls, our protector, provider and healer,
and Redeemer.Jesus is our Strength and Hope ,full of mercy and compassion.
We can fully trust in Jesus who is Love and Truth.
Nothing is impossible with Jesus.
Love is patient and kind and love never fails.
Jesus delights in mercy.
His blood washes away our sins and He will in no wise cast us out.He has power to forgive sin.
We do not have to do anything to earn Jesus love and forgiveness,,we come just as we are, knowing He loves us and is our Saviour. We just trust.
I hope this helps you some
