Where is it written 'thou shalt get vaccinated'? Sodomy is the most efficient sexual disease spreader, almost commensurate to taking a shot right into a vein. ~Who are we to judge~ though, right? But no vaccination? ~outrage~

Here is a link to a form that parents can use to justify a philosophical objection.
Maybe it will help to understand what people are objecting against.

I can't answer that. People from all walks of life object to vaccines. I don't think there is one name for it. Mostly they just get labeled Anti-Vaxxers. I was just trying to show you an example of a form that someone with a philosophical objection might use. I'm also confused between the difference between philosophical and personal objections.
I don't know about colleges in the States. In Ontario, you can just submit a form that it's against your personal beliefs and that's pretty much all you need to do. The actual amount of people who do it doesn't substantiate any worries. From what I've heard, the objections are few and rare.
Well I finally asked about this & my teacher said a philosophical objection basically is a personal belief objection. He said our state doesn't allow for philosophical objections. It's only if there's a medical reason for not getting them that you can be excused. All kids including those who homeschool have to get vaccinated. I don't think it's a big deal here tbh cause I've never heard about it being one. Heard about the mess in Cali but folks there are kinda different about a lotta stuff. Yeah that make sense there's not that many ppl who object in Ontario either.
If I remember correctly a lot of the worst outbreaks have been in the Midwest, some were Amish, some were other religious groups. religious groups are a particular risk because they can create a large number on unimmunized people in a social grouping. The strange entitled mindset in some parts of California didn't really create as good a pocket for spreading as a single antivax Church does.

It is good that there aren't as many objections, at universities, in Ontario. One of my friends is living in Ontario, this year. He said they are having the worst whooping cough outbreak, in 12 years. Many people, do not realise they have whooping cough, at first. Runny eyes & nose, coughing, can look like a cold. They don't know how contagious they are, in time to quarantine themselves. At a university, it would be a big problem, as people live in close quarters.
I'm sorry you are under the weather, sweetie. I've been recovering from pneumonia. Stupid asthma kicks my butt eveytime I get a cold. I feel like wrapping myself in bubble wrap for the winter. I need some sun! It's been so grey and depressing here. I think I'm withering away without the sun. Miss you. xoxoI've also heard about the sharp rise in whooping cough outbreaks in Canada. Tragically an infant died due to it last week.
Australia has also grappled with outbreaks this past month. Thankfully most people who have whooping cough do survive it (though from personal experience I can verify that it can be a tormenting ordeal), but there is increasing evidence that it poses long-term risks, especially in infants. The New York Times ran an article a few weeks ago about how infants who have whooping cough are at a higher risk for epilepsy.
Yes, dorms are breeding grounds for germs. We are all living, eating, studying, and socializing in close quarters. I am under the weather currently and am remaining at home until the 10th mainly because my defense system is so weak I'm a walking sponge for all those germs.

I hope, you get to feeling better soon. With having asthma, you might want to consider getting the pneumococcal vaccines.
Thanks. But no, thanks.![]()
