Dear MuidSaoirse,
I pm’d you regarding a post of yours, that it was removed for staff review. The post is this one in this thread Priest assigned to Univeristy of Illinois Newman Center faces cocaine charges:

The following was my response::wave:
well he done the crime Let him do the time.... Maybe he will realise his pontificating about God needs to cease and he needs to get real. No sympathy from me... He made premeditated calculated choices. I am so tired of reading about corrupt priests.. If it aint drugs its sex or pedophilia. Why don't they just dismantle the whole priesthood construct and realise it was an unhealthy, manmade construct to begin with.

It will remain deleted as violating this FSG located here:

The Catholic Church is comprised of all Christians and churches who are united in full communion with His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI.
  1. This forum is open to those who accept the teachings of the Church, for debate, discussion, and fellowship. It should be noted that acceptance is different from agreement. Catholics may not agree with certain teachings, but they assent to those teachings as a lamb would assent to the gentle prodding of the shepherds crook. It is hoped that through dialog, those who agree and those who struggle can learn from each other and grow to better understand the truths of our beautiful faith.

  2. Active Promotion of views contrary to the teachings of the Church is prohibited.
In violating that FSG, it violated this site wide rule:

- Congregational Forums wishing to remain safe havens may choose to limit debate to members of their own denomination, insist that all posts conform to their creed etc.

Referring to the priesthood:priest: as a “Unhealthy, manmade construct” was speaking against the teachings of the Catholic Church. :thumbsup:

We realize you are new. This is not a warning.

:Dyou gotta laugh

Well, as it was stated before. If you find the perfect church. Don't join it for you will ruin it. We as people are sinners! Thats the whole point of church is to have accountability of some kind. Thats why the priest are not the soul body of the church. There is the elders. Politically its works out the same. Homes, businesses, congress,city's and churches ect. All in common( SIN )

Just a friendly warning, MuidSaoirse: unfortunately discussing staff action is also against the rules, so you may want to alter the initial post to a general discussion of the priesthood rather than copy-pasting the content of a staff notification. :)

Gotta love the shallowness of the church. It's why I could never accept organized religion.

When you make broad generalizations about a group of people based on the actions of a hand full of them, it says more about you than it does them.
