  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am so glad to know that this holiday is a thanksgiving to God, finally. I have not wanted to celibrate dead indians and pilgrems. I have been out of school for 4 years now, and since the teachers there misled me to belive that it was a celabration of dead poeple, I have abhored thanksgiving for a while. I will have to shout out a great big thanks to the schools out there that teach a lie. THANKS A LOT!!

How come they are alowed to teach about budisim, krishna, legalism, and mithology in school, but they can't even touch on christianity?

You can teach about Christianity, you can teach about Hinduism, Budisim, and Wicca, and Islam..

You can't howevver, Preach any of these or try to convince the students should follow..This includes Organized prayer(you can pray if you want, but a school cannot lead in a prayer)

I hope you know that many "Christian" holidays are actually Pagan.

"Christimas" was celebrated much before Christ was even born. Christmas is really just a celebration of the winter solstice, or Yule. The idea that it celebrates the birth of Christ come from pagans converting to to christianity, but still wanting to keep some of their tradition.

Easter and Halloween are also Pagan holidays...

Can you give an example please.

Yes I am aware of that, that is why I am so grumpy around these sorry exuses of a holiday. I can't stand santa claus, I don't mind saint nic. No matter how much anyone tries to convince me, they are not the same person, saint nic didn't have flying raindeer.:D Also I would be happy to see that darn fertility or easter bunny under my front fender as road pie easter morning, it's were it belongs. O.K. maybe I have taken it a little far, but I would like to celibrate Jesus in my own way and not have poeple tell me how awful I am(in regards to my daughters, and yes I let them have presents). I hope to God though that I am able to teach them the christian meaning of christmas, easter, st.pats day, and valintines day. Even if it wasn't nessesarily the first holiday on that day.

Conservative public schools do not want to berid of "under God" in the pledge.

It's the left-wing-liberal-losers that disrespect God and want to take him out of the pledge. They're all full of lies and hypocracy, aren't they? You can blame them for this.
Excusing moi, first off, I would think this poster is being sarcastic by the way this reads. I could be wrong.
Second of all, not everyone who is left wing and /or liberal is against God. Some belief in God but do not want a certain belief imposed on others. Yes, some like to hang with the evolution science type crowd but not all. You have to realize that just because someone is for certain things, doesn't mean this same person agrees with all the things that the group he/she belongs to is for. People are different and therefore they aren't just going to be the same.
Hypocrisy? Hmm, I could go somewhere with that, but I won't. Just nobody tell me you are Christian and believe things that are totally opposite what Jesus said to do. Like not showing love to neighbors because you feel they deserve what they got.
I suppose I should get back to the issue. Why bother to take it out, I say. It's pointless to pursue such a tiny matter when there are much larger problems at hand. If that's the case, why don't they take "In God we Trust" off the money, since it's offensive? Some people worry too much about unimportant things.
