Funny.

My friend got me a relient k for my birthday present. But I was hoping for a jeremy camp CD. So at first, when I listened to it, i liked some song. A pretty okay album, but the beats was a little funky.

But the more I listened to it...i clicked onto the beats. Then i find myself in love with relient k. Or I think this is perhaps the best album ever (i mean 99% of the song I like!).

Everyone raves about Be My Escape, but I wonder why no one really raves much about More than Useless. That's like a song that'll hit you hard whenever you wonder if you're useless. Their lyrics are just awesome. Funny yet profound.

Um, let me explain something. There is absolutely nothing even remotely "funky" about Relient K. That's like saying "I really enjoy the punk-music stylings of Lawrence Welk."

At the risk of being teased I admit that I too like relient k. I have Mmhmm too but my favorite song is "I So Hate Consequences" because I can really relate to it. "More Than Useless" and most of the other songs are great too.

Even though it's not really a Christian song, "My Girl's Ex-Boyfriend" makes me smile cause this girl I like had a boyfriend just like that but he left her and now she likes me

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...

If you're going to listen to pop punk... no one does it better than Relient K.

Granted, it's not a genre I'm going to go out and buy... but that doesn't make it not a genre.

Relient K fan here also.....I have liked them for a long time now. You guys should listen to their eariler ablums they are pretty rad too, but MMHMM is by far my favorite. I agree that RK is the best pop-punk/ Christian (whatever you wanna call 'em) band around (in my opinion, its ok if you don't agree ) I just think that they are pretty awesome and Iam glad to know that there is some Relient K love around....has anyone heard the song with Matty Thiessen (the lead singer of RK) and John Rueben? Its called "Nuisance"..its pretty cool...check it out...

Yeah, I went to one of their concerts too. By accident really, I was there to see a GOOD band. There were many things about that concert I didn't like, for example, seeing hundreds of preppy kids trying to be punk. But, and I really mean this, that was the most boring show I've ever been to! Relient K got on stage, and just stood in place the whole time. And everyone around me was going nuts, while I sat there yawning. To be honest I find their albums just as boring.

Some people think that they don't talk about God enough in their songs, but I found out they really do. They are one of my very favourite bands. At first their beats were a bit crazy to me, cause I was used to the contemporary and pop stuff I hear on the radios. But I got it from the library to see for myself how they were, and it only took a little bit of getting used to. Now I really, really admire them for what they are doing. I think that their songs are inspired by nothing but the Lord. I don't think people realize how much they really do talk about God. And they might say it in a different way, or act a different way than other bands do -- but the message is clear to me. I think we're blessed to have them here to minister to young people. God bless you all and Relient K!
